Does anyone else remember the reaction to the X-box when it first came out? Following all the hatred and MicroSoft bashing, you'd think they just closed down an orphanage. Spare a couple members here, almost NO ONE bought it. When Rare got traded over things only got worse, and the anger intensified.

Does anyone else feel relieved now when reading the new topics? I've noticed a LOT more people owning or planning to buy a 360. In fact, this time around some members are actually buying the 360 OVER Nintendo's product. Such a huge change in such a short time is amazing.

My only problem is that I like the old games , don't get me wrong the whole new motion sencors in the Wii and PS3 look great , but im still a little sceptical about the whole thing...

For example look at super mario galaxies , the controls look funny to use , do you think it will really be fun waving your arm around for an hour? maybe? I just don't know yet...

yet for XBOX360 , basic gaming , nothing to complicated , plus the online service will probly be way better then the Wii , and has great games on there , lets not forgot BK3.

When I heard of the Xbox my first reaction was, "Wow, that things pretty big. Therfore it sucks."

After I played PGR my reaction then was, "Wow, this things pretty big. And it truly does suck." But then after a few years a baught it and loved it. But it's still really huggin' huge.

This is something I don't think a lot of people understand, which is maneuvering the Wii controller will require no more effort than it does to work a computer mouse.

Y'know how you pivot your wrist in order to move the mouse up, down, left and right? It'll be exactly the same for the Wii.

People spend hours playing PC games like World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat... without their arms and hands getting sore and tired.

Plus hundreds of people have played the Wii by now. If there was a huge issue concerning fatigue, it would have cropped up by now :)

Yeah...I can remember when the X-Box was first released...I can remember personally heckling against it, just because it wasn't a Nintendo console. :p Now, though...I'm find of warming up to the idea. However, for me it's an issue of "BK3" being playable only on this console. If it hadn't been for the announcement of BK3, I would still be against the 360. ;)

Yes, because using a computer mouse involves standing up and doing the hula with the mouse by your waist, swinging the mouse like a fishing pole, putting the mouse on your head and doing sit-ups, slashing the mouse around like a sword ...
Seriously, every video I see about how the thing works shows that most games require you to do that stuff with the controller ... it's utter madness! :-/

I used to want the Wii (the "The" before it makes it slightly more tolerable to say ... still hate the name though), but now I want the 360 since all the hype around Nintendo has driven me to lose interest.

Hehe... I wasn't into the whole XBox thing at first, it just seemed too mainstream, or whatever. But then I Played Halo 2, and I... ejaculated my joy into its forum ;)

Plus, B3-60 makes me hungry for a 360. Thirsty, too.

Summary: I've been thinking of buying an XBox 360 :D

Yes, but the sensitivity of the motion capture doesn't require you to exaggerate your actions like a rabid ape ;)

Some people (http://forums.rarewitchproject.com/showpost.php?p=120423&postcount=360) apparently still aren't over it. Sad, really.

I remember when Microsoft announced they were entering the video games industry. This wasn't terribly long after Banjo-Tooie was released. I remember telling a classmate of mine, there's no way Microsoft's going to be able to keep up with Sony and Nintendo, and dismissing it right then and there. But I was ridiculously wrong! :o The Xbox and Xbox 360 have done well I have to admit. I'm even eyeing the possibility of getting a 360 for BK3.
