Not quite sure if I spelled that last word in the title correctly, but does anybody have any game titles they think are great to download? I have 1400 Wii Points burning a hole in my pocket, ready to spend and I'm not quite sure what to get. I got Bomberman which is awesome for 600. Now what should I get? I kind of want to get Donkey Kong for NES, as it's classic gaming, but I could just play it on my N64 on DK64... That new one, Military Madness looks good, but I've never played it so I don't know what it's like. I also think that Mario Bros. would be pretty cool.
Has anyone downloaded anything that they're really happy about? What would you suggest?

RISTAR. I cannot emphasize this more. I haven't tried it on the VS, but the game was pure awesome for the Genesis. I'd also suggest that you save those points for Super Mario RPG whenever it hits...although that could be awhile.
(I'll also recommend the original F-Zero for the SNES since that's currently available)

I would definitely get F-Zero if only it was a multiplayer game (it could have been s easily! It's a racing game!) Can you play RISTAR with more than one player?
EDIT: I just found out, it's only 1 player, but it looks pretty good (although the description didn't tell ya much) It looks like a Super Mario World a little...

Banjo's Banjo: That Ristar game is starting to look more and more tempting... Can you explain more about it? Is it like SMB or better? Does it have a lot of levels so you won't get bored?

I've only downloaded Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario 64 and Bonk's Adventure so far. And they're great, I definitely recommend those :)
Super Mario Bros is rumored to be available on Christmas day. You can't pass that one up ;)

TGOT, don't get Ristar on the Virtual Console. You can unlock it on Sonic Mega Collection (the GCN version), which isn't all that expensive, plus you get a lot of games.
Also, stay away from Mean Bean Machine *shudders*

I have actually heard some rumors on Joystiq that it'll be a free download. A sort of "Christmas present." I seriously doubt that this is true, though, considering the amount of money that Nintendo could make from selling it.

I hope so, that would be really cool. I probably won't download it if it cost wii points (which according to Nintendo's site i think i saw it say it will cost 500) as I'll just wait for SUper Mario All Stars + Super Mario World (If it comes out) :D

F-Zero (original) would have slowed to a crawl if it had multiplayer...which is a shame. :(
And get it now (also heard Gunstar Heroes is pretty good)!

Ristar was designed by some of the Sonic staff as I recall and plays like a normal platformer. However the style of play was unique in that you use your own character as a weapon and can generate some serious speed when you combo together swinging movements. As for the amount of levels, it's been awhile but I do remember it having a lot.

I don't have a Wii, but since I have these games, I can recommend them:
-Bonk's Adventure (TG-16)
-Toejam & Earl (GEN)
-Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (GEN) (EGM is full of crap, this game is fun.)
I do NOT recommend:
-Super Mario Bros. (NES)
-Sonic the Hedgehog (GEN)
...unless you REALLY don't have them on one of the billion other rereleases. Not that they're bad games, (obviously. :P) they've just been rereleased more times than any other.

Meh. I actually hated Mean Bean Machine. I didn't read any reviews beforehand either, I just didn't like it. I don't know why... :|

I bought Super Mario Bros, mainly because I despise having to play it on Nestopia. Nothing beats playing old school NES Games with the Wiimote. I am also thinking about buying Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine or Toejam and Earl. I just can't decide between the two.

Well, between the two, I'd personally say Toejam & Earl. MBM is fun, but TJ&E is more fun. Especially with two players, because the elevator conversations are quite funny.
Of course, it's up to you. And by the way, I only said don't get SMB if you REALLY don't already own it in another form, I didn't say it was bad to get it if you don't. lol.

i'd recomend bomberman '93, mostly for the multiplayer. up to five (yes, five) people can play.

I loved Mean Bean Machine on the genesis but that was long time ago and I remeber almost nothing at all
I do recall myself finishing the game and jumping around.
Super Mario RPG is a must if you haven't played it yet.
