No one seems to have mentioned this. So I shall begin. What do you think about the new title and who do you think this half blood prince is?

This is my opinion:

My friend thinks that Lucius Malfoy is a Veela, making Malfoy half blood (half wizard half veela.) I don't think he is, he isn't pretty enough . Part of me wants malfoy to be half blood, for being such a bastard to Hermione and the whole "Mudblood" snobbery.

Anyway I thought it was definately Seamus. They make a point of letting us know he's half blood in the movies. But really he's not a very important character is he? I'd find it really disapointing if it was him.

I'm starting to think it could be Snape. He was a deatheater (wasn't he, I'm pretty sure it said he was, or hinted at it at least. I haven't read the books for a while) maybe he was Voldemorts 2nd in command. The Half Blood Prince might refer to the past. We might find out more about the past events during Voldemorts time of power.

Finally it could also be Tom Riddle. 1) As other people have said he was not Voldemort when he was Tom. 2) This title was almost used for chamber of secrets, the book where Tom Riddle was prominent in the plot.

Or maybe it's a totally new person. But that'd piss me off, because then I won't have been right at all.

I think the new title's alright. Ok I HATE the new title. I prefered the fake one. Maybe it will grow on me.

Lucious Malfoy as a Veela?............. -chokes-

And as to that Tom Riddle one, Voldemort did say that he used the name 'Voldemort' at school but only to his closest friends (When he was Tom Riddle) so I don't think that's right either.

As for Seamus.....hmmmmmmmmm......he just doesn't seem important enough to *me*, but who knows.

Finally Someone posted this. I knew the title days ago but wasn't going to post anything cause I didn't know of anyone else who likes HP.

First off Snape was a Death Eater who went to the good side shortly before the fall of Voldemort the first time (I'll guarentee it, I've read the first 4 books 6 times each and the 5th I'm reading now for the 3rd time).

Secondly I doubt the Half Blood Prince would be Tom since J.K.Rowling said on her site that Harry and Voldemort weren't the Half Blood Prince.

On other sites lots of people think Godric Gyffindor is the Half Blood Prince since book 2 has a lot to do with him and Salazar Slytherin.

I think it's possible the Half Blood Prince is a member of the Black family who is a Half Blood. Around Page 100 in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Sirius said his mother thought being a member of the black family made you practically royal... but who knows really?

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was the working title for Book 2. When J.K.Rowling was writing book 2 she took out a lot of information because she thought it was too soon for all that information so she put it in book 6. I'm looking forward to this book although the series is coming to an end but you've got to take the good with the bad :(

Nah, I don't think so either, but my friend is sure so I thought it might have been worth mentioning.

I really have no idea who it is right now. Some people think Mark Evans, maybe he was going to be introduced in Book 2, I doubt that though. Jk wouldn't swap something as important as that. I'm think the Half Blood Prince is going to be someone from the past.

We know these things for sure:

The Half Blood Prince is male.
The Half Blood Prince is half blood, whatever the blood might be (vampire, giant, wizard etc.
The Half Blood Prince is neither Harry or Voldemort.

I expect no one will get this right. Who guessed that Sirius would be the one to kick the bucket last book? I was so *sure* it was Mrs Weasly.

Hmmmmmmm, Hagrid comes to mind.

Yeah Hagrid is a possibility. Especially when Hagrid played a big part in Book 2 and J.K. Rowling says there's a lot of stuff in Book 2 that links to the end of the series. I love the guessing before a new book comes out... I just hope we don't have to long to wait for the next book. Does anyone know how long we knew the title to book 5 before it came out? That might give us a rough Idea.

I personally liked "Harry Potter and the Alchemist's Cell" the best, but all the fake titles were kind of... well... dumb ;)

I did some looking around, and I found this chat transcript (http://www.angelfire.com/mi3/cookarama/yahoolintoct00pt1.html) dated October 20, 2000. She mentions book 5's title. The book came out June 21, 2003.

Hmm. :-/

Why did I have to do the silly thing and ask :(:(:(:(:( Well just think. If that's close to what we have to wait for now Book 6 will come out Feb 30, 2007.

At least if that was the date we could count down. Before book 56 came out I got a white board and wrote how many days left (From when we found out the release date) and changed how many days left every day.

I think I heard from somewhere that it was either within the next 6 months, or at the end of next year, I forget where I heard it, so perhaps my memory is playing tricks on me, BUT IM SO DAMN EXCITED, IM GONNA HAVE TO START READING THE BOOKS OVER AGAIN, WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Well Rowling will have to get a move on, otherwise the films will be out before the books at this rate.

Hmmmmmmm, Hagrid comes to mind.

It could be hagrid. He's the most obvious half blood. I'm pretty much sold on Snape since I read the half vampire argument. Althought Hagrid is growing on me (like the new title) it is a big possibility. Though Wouldn't that make Grawp a prince too?

Well Rowling will have to get a move on, otherwise the films will be out before the books at this rate.

I'd rather have a properly written book and a late film than a half arsed book and a better movie. I much prefer the books.

I just presumed it was Voldemort. But if she said it wasn't then I guess..... who knows. Maybe it's no one we know of yet. Hehe maybe it's Dumbledore. :P

Just out of curiosity where do you all get your Harry Potter info from?

I get mine from J.K.Rowling's Website (http://www.jkrowling.com)
or CBBC Newsround (http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/find_out/specials/2001/harry_potter/default.stm)

I'd be interested in checking out the site you all go to as well.

Oh yeah. Ngh.. I'm so stupid!

Gaming Master do you not go to mugglenet? (www.mugglenet.com (http://www.mugglenet.com))

I go to jkrowling.com. Have you got any of the scrap book things? I have two, they don't really offer any help to the future plot lines but they're still quite interesting.

Snape is the coolest, but Im a little confuzzled by your use of 'screw' and what context your using that in, and who is it your gonna be 'screw'ing, Alan Rickman, or Snape, cause its a wig that he has on, and heaps of make up, so whats it gonna be

I normally think long(ish) black hair and pale skin on guys looks hot (like on that bloke from HIM!) but...

My *mum* likes Alan Rickman. It's just.... wrong.

I'm with Hakey on this one.
