I lost the source after a month of work half a year ago, and it is highly improbably it will ever be resumed or finished. However, due to its loss, the Visual Editor in GE was done, so personally I like the trade.
It is however, an interesting look at how PD differs from GE, and the action blocks are fascinatingly much more complex, etc.
Use as own risk. I remember it used to be able to save successfully, and convert ROM, on at least some levels. I've definitely modified the starting weapons successfully.
NOTE: No visual editor, grabbing pads doesn't work, and never figured out how it does room pointers. As well as many pads are incorrectly id'ed.

Wow....how long has this been in development?
I can't use it because I'm not allowed to play M rated games. So, I'm sorry I can't try it out.

It's a pity that the Perfect Dark Editor won't be improved anymore, but due to the loss of the source code, I can understand it.
Did you ever think of making the GE Editor opensource?
Perhaps there will be some talented software engineers (and Perfect Dark fans) who can recreate some of the PD editor using the source code of the GE one and of course make it as awesome as the GE editor already is.
I also would like to have my eyes on the code, to understand how Goldeneye "works" (if the code is able to tell me).

I've thought about it, but it is entirely unusable for anyone else. It was like a five year off and on project (I just mean like, it was programmed at different times), with varying effectiveness and it's really not meant to be released. If I ever clean it up, I might post the source, but I don't feel there's enough interest. Most of the information behind it is publicly available in odds and ends, and the editor itself contains a lot of details in the help.
PD is so far behind, I feel like it would take almost half a year of serious hard work to get it back to speed, hack PD to learn many things, etc. It is unlikely it will happen, and I don't have as much time anymore.

Well, you never know. You might eventualy get it done.
Anyway having the GoldenEye Editor working should give a lot of pointers for Perfect Dark surly...?

It's not getting finished. I no longer have an adaquate sourcecode base and it's a year in development behind the GE Editor and I no longer have any time. It's not happening.

If you found these files... would you keep working on it?

They're long dead, hard drive was returned to Dell. The problem is really the amount of work it would take and how little time I have.
