A question for the Zelda fans

How is it that Ganon constantly manages to underestimate Link?
I mean, it's excusable in Ocarina of Time because that's the first time that Link fought Ganon, but what about the other times?
Think about it, every other time it's the same Ganon, either having been resurrected or other, and yet, every single time he's beaten by Link, and if I'm not mistaken, always with the master sword.
Surely there are signs that would alert him to an impending ass whooping, and yet he always does the same thing; underestimate Link.
This is just my musings from work today but I think it's a valid point.

Well, in most of the games, he doesn't actually meet Link until the final battle, so it's very possible he doesn't realise that the re-incarnation is even around to try and stop him. The only example I can think (other than OoT) where he meets Ganon before his battle is The Wind Waker, and he does beat seven shades out of Link there, plus he drains the Master Sword's power, so he thinks he clearly has an advantage right up until the roof at the end of the game, where he's clearly acting in desperation.

Let me explain it by game.

LoZ: Like Troll clowns stated, Gannon didn't meet Link until the end of the game, so he didn't know what he was up against.

aLttP: Due to some timeline shenanigans, Ganon managed to split the timeline by defeating the Hero of Time, so he has a reason to underestimate Link.

OoT: He first meets Link in this game.

OoS+OoA: When Ganon was resurected, he was just a mindless, raging body.

WW: As Troll clowns stated, he thought he had the upper hand by killing the sages to drain the master sword.

TP: He didn't know what he was up against.

Because he's a villain, and only cares about taking over the world. Do you think guys like Bowser, Ganon, or Grunty will ever stop trying to get their way?

What I never got about Wind Waker was why the heck he has the one item that can easily kill him hidden inside his own tower. The smart move would be to destroy it and make it that much harder for Link to beat him. However, as far as Nintendo villains go, he's actually one of the smartest and best prepared. Look at Bowser for example, he always manages to create a lair for himself where there's always something that can kill him. Did he really need those bombs on the side to kill Mario in Mario 64, or those butt stomp pads in Sunshine?
