Hey guys, for years now I've been hearing some of the classic goldeneye sound fx on tv and movies. I was wondering if anyone knew where these sounds are now sold?

Mainly I'm looking to acquire legally the rocket launcher sfx: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FE0wF4sT5OU for use in a video game. Anyone have any ideas where everyone is buying it from?

I actually noticed, I've heard a lot of the sound effects in movies too. Mainly when Natalia gets hit, that weird groan, and the silencer. I dunno where to find 'em but I'll look tomorrow / later.

Chances are they are all public domain.

I've heard some sfx in some tv shows and movies... in other tv shows and movies.

Like, the Zat gun from Stargate.. the fairy staff Merlin uses in.. Merlin... makes the same sound. So either the fairies from Arthurian legend are goa'uld or... actually... yeah, considering Stargate it may as well be possible. nevermind.

There are public domain libraries of sound collections. For example Ren and Stempy, Sponge Bob, and Camp Lazlo all had the same soundtracks because they used the same soundbank.

You're legally allowed to use any soundbite that is shorter than 10 seconds as long as it's credited. </film class>

I looked into this and the closest things i could find was that you can use up to 10% of the material. Which would be like .07 seconds of that sound. I would love it if this was true and I could verify it. My game is going on steam so I cant risk the legal action if I'm wrong.

So far my search continues. Everyone says this sound is public domain but I have yet to find 1 thing that proves it. Big ol' pain
