Rant on the CoD franchise

But not what you may be expecting...
As we can all see the new game has already been announced not even a year after the last one came out. "Bloody brilliant", I thought, "here we go with another half arsed attempt at milking the cash cow", and that seems to be the general consensus.
However, after reading an article published in a magazine subscription and doing some of my own research into the game's content, I've found myself pleasantly surprised. The game seems to have many new features that nobody would expect of a call of duty game and for once it seems they're taking one of these games seriously - trying to create a game for the campaign instead of the online functionality, and for call of duty, that is fantastic.
"So what purpose does this thread serve?" I hear you ask, although nobody is probably asking that at all.
Well, guys, my rant is not on the game, or the fans, but on the multitudes of gamers who are slamming this game despite it not even being completed yet.
I hate people who:
Judge items before they've even researched or played it
Judge something because it's cool to do so
Especially the latter, and this is a perfect instance of that. Call of Duty is such a huge and successful gaming franchise and as we know it's cool to hate the big things and not be conformist, even though, and I know from personal experience, that there are people among the haters who will buy and enjoy these games regardless.
Now as I've mentioned, the major flak that the franchise gets are the sheer speed at which they're released, and the fact that each game seems to be a reiterance of a previous one with a new coat of paint. This has also been true, with games like MW3 simply appearing as additional content for MW2.
But here's the thing; Treyarch is only too aware of flak the franchise receives for being a reiterance of itself, and as of such, they appear to be taking every care to make sure that this game deviates from the game's basic backgrounds.
How? Well, as this article, and my own research shows, they've added dynamic plot points that hinge on decisions that you as a person make and as of such there are multiple different outcomes on your campaign.
This also leads to a stressed re-playability factor which the other games could not boast and a creative storyline based on contemporary threats, featuring military assets currently in development, and a scenario that could very well happen.
My own personal opinion judging from what I've read is that this is the first time a COD game has been so variant in it's existence from the tired old formula and, personally, despite anything that anyone can say about it, I will be buying this game, because it looks ****ing amazing.
This doesn't explain the fact that these games come out quickly, though, so I put it to you; if you are the leader of a game manufacturing company and you want to make money and it just so happens that you have a franchise at your disposal that makes millions with every release.
That's simply the basics of it. They want to make money, just the same as all the other games. However, this time this time they have a game in development that people actually put a passion and drive into, and this much could not be said for previous instalments in the franchise's history.
Now, I may be wrong. This game may come out and it may be utter crap, or it may be absolutely fantastic. But my point here is that people are already condemning it simply for being a call of duty game, and it's saddening to see that we live in a society where people are slandering creative works before they're even finished.
So, like I was saying; this game may be crap, it may be gold, but I personally won't be the judge of that until I've personally had a chance to play it for myself, and if you're the sort to hate on Call of Duty games, I implore you to do the same.
