So, I just attended a GameJam.
Since Monday I've been at a GameJam, in all there were 22 teams, and I think 11/12 awards.
My team, that is to say one of my housemates and I, managed to actually finish our game to the plan we had come up with, and a few other things win one award, as well as coming second on Best Adaptation of Concept, and third on Best Animation. The award we went home with was Best Dressed Team. Because we were by far. More news coming in later when I'm not tired and can actually think.

Yes, but it'll probably be tomorrow because I am really knackered.
Tomorrow we'll embed it on the actual GameJam website, and I'll link you to it. Anyway, I'll give you the gist of it. The GameJam game had to fit to one or more topics, there were three topics picked by Random Article on Wikipedia: Australian TV Channel NTD, 2011–12 Liga Indonesia Premier Division (LPIS) and Weird Tales 4. And so we came up with 'Weird Australia'. The plot synopsis is as follows: You are Bulan Cahaya, champion footballer of the Indonesian Premier League. You've been invited for an interview by Australia's No.1 TV station NTD, but OH NO! You're running late and the station is on the other side of town! Take your magic football and avoid the dangerous creatures and arbitrary pits to make your appointment on time! It's a platformer, you can kick the football at enemies or slide tackle them. Fairly generic, but since it was all from scratch, the fact it was all working bug free was really surprising.

That sounds really great, props to you for actually finishing it. I love gamejams, but I have no knowledge of actual game building people to do it with to go to one.
