Aaron Greenburg Confirms Multiple Rare Games in Development

Aaron Greenberg recently jumped the pond to merry little England to have a nosey around Microsoft’s UK-based developers, one of which was Rare who are working on something for the Xbox One.

When asked by The Inner Circle Podcast about what Rare are working on and if they’re developing more than one title, Greenberg confirmed that the UK-based developer is working on multiple games and that the firm are preparing to unveil them to the public.

"It’s going through the process of preparing to unveil their next things, they have multiple projects in development and we feel really good about them."

I wouldn't read too far into that. It's extremely rare for any game developer to only have one project going at a time; for all we know only one of these projects is beyond prototyping.

Unless it's shoddy journalism, preparing to unveil them would imply that at least two are almost complete enough to show the public something.

What Johny said. They wouldn't confirm they were working on more than 1 game if they weren't thinking of revealing them soon. Similar to Retro Studios and Nintendo refusing to tell us if they can work on more than one game at a time, they just weren't ready to reveal whatever else they were working on.


If it's more than one game, I'm getting more optimistic that at least one of them is Banjo related.

If you look closely, you can see the old Rareware logo on the Banjo suit's nose. So yes, it is an old suit. It's probably the one from the Banjo-Tooie commercial.
