I really enjoy BK more. Click Clock Wood is one of the most memorable worlds out of both games because of its uniqueness in how it incorporated 4 seasons into one space where tasks got carried from one to the next.
Also, BK really felt like a fantasy game, it was more colorful and full of wonder it seems like. BT kind of lost that fantasy feeling, though I'm not sure why. It was just more gritty and darker I guess and wasn't as much fun to play through. Though I enjoy BT, I have to go with BK. |

Yeah BT was more of a realistic feel to each area, not some sort of spellbound wonder of fantasy and ..wonder. I know I've always said that Click clock wood is an utter masterpiece of creation; but really the true masterpiece, hell the reason for banjo being such a good series for most people probably, and the true wonder of the game is gruntilda's lair itself.
It's been said before that the true star of the original mario game isn't so much mario as it is the mushroom kingdom. The hidden blocks that give you the power up, that secret warp tube, the flying fish, moving platforms, bean stalks and shortcuts, these things were all new to the world when mario first came out. The power up and the boss had been used before (though never the mini-boss, bower in X-4 is the first of those) but never has all of these elements been put together into one game and to have it work so well.. it's why miyamoto is in the hall of fame. It's why there even is a hall of fame. Last edited by Riot; 7th May 2012 at 09:42 PM. |
