PC Five Nights at Freddy's

So I keep seeing people flipping out about this game on tumblr, so I had to check it out. It's a PC game though, and my laptop isn't really built for that, so I watched Markiplier play through it instead. Dear God I'm not even the one playing and I screamed.

Has anyone else tried it?

I haven't bothered, but apparently if you don't touch the mouse the A.I. never starts so you can beat the game without doing anything.

Huh, that's actually pretty funny from a programming point of view. You can play the entire game through hotkeys or movement alone?

what's creepy about this game is how the AI works. it sounds like a creepypasta come to life. this shit right here.

Watched Markiplier play it as well by my brother's recommendation and I got to say, the game looks not only scary, but very good. I like how well the horror mixes with the whole tower defense/resource (power in this case) management sort of style of playing, along with all the different ways the animals act, constantly making you have to be weary of another attack, even better playing into the horror theme and helping to catch the player almost off guard from a jump scare.

I am absolutely positive that I do not want to play Five Nights at Freddy's. Games like Resident Evil, Slender, etc don't freak me out at all, but something about the way they jump around the cameras... and those cold dead eyes. It's truly awful.

Apprently, yes, you can survive the game by not moving. It seems to be intentional as the guy on the phone mentions that playing dead seems to work. Does seem like a really unique concept with having to conserve power throughout the game.

I am not interested in this game because it seems too complex. If it was just a game where you run straight forward and scary shit pops out then I would play it, but the whole defense style gameplay with the cameras is not appealing to me at all, paired with the fact that it is trying to scare you whilst you're learning, I'll probably never play this game. It's just another 'trend' game that all the Youtubers are playing.

So I just watched the video Andre posted and I'm scared to even think of playing it because most horror games are my undoing anyhow but ****ing animatronics in a tower defense-esque style? No. Nope. Nuh-uh.

EDIT: However, my brother saw the video as well and he wants to get it, so if he does I'd simply have to because I enjoy doing things I don't wanna do

Well that was entertaining. I will say this much, even though it seems like a game that I wouldn't enjoy playing, it is definitely a fun game to watch.
