it's the same reason why people think yuji naka is the creator of sonic. he just took all the credit for it

call is cute but her level sucks and she's ridiculously ineffective, this angers me

he's directly stated in interviews that mega man was conceptualized by akira kitamura, his mentor, before he even joined the company, though

plus, while yuji naka didn't create the character of sonic, afaik he had a greater role in than the first game's creation than keiji inafune did with mega man as the one who made the engine that eventually led to them making the games, didn't he?

he's also said that he was the creator of mega man and people paid more attention to that i guess

he was also the producer of the mega man series and was with capcom for a long time which probably had something to do with it too

rockman 4 minus infinity is supposed to be the best romhack ever so maybe i should play that some day. right now i'm just restarting mega man zero 3, which is ridiculously ****ing good. play the zero games, if you enjoy playing as zero in x4 they are literally entire games of that, but better and ridiculously challenging

i did too, until i played her level. i wish she just played like beck and could work in beck stages, rather than being the one gimmick character you play as for like ten minutes who is not conducive to the core gameplay

I played a little more, electric ladybot's stage. The bit where you gotta crouch dash under the turbines is pretty annoying, since you got to be right up on them to not die instantly. But I will say I wouldn't call this game bad right now. I'm gonna have to play more, but I've had some fun.

Edit: Okay, okay, Countershade's stage is really bad. The game about fasting forces you to wait, and you have to backtrack back and forth, and it isn't even the real fight.

yeah when i said "i wish you could play as call" i was implying that she'd play like beck

apparently you can play as her in co-op though? has anyone tried that?

I couldn't connect with anyone online. I don't think many people wanted the online stuff.

Also I just beat the game. I don't think it's horrible, just a little too misguided. It's worth a reduced price at least.

i'm glad you're enjoying it that much, at least. i don't really understand why, but hell, i guess that doesn't matter in the game of people enjoying things
