New AVP Game Is Awesome
This is kinda a two part post, so skip the first part if you don't want a backstory.
So today I went to a MLG tournament. I thought that it was going to be just a bunch of crazy Madden/Halo/Gears Of War MLG players, and for the most part I was right. But besides all the "intense" gaming going on, a bunch of company's had booths. Best Buy, Stride Gum, and Dr. Pepper had booths, but the one that caught my eye was the Sega booth. There they had 6 PS3s set up with the new AVP game coming out next February, which they claimed was the first time they were demoing the game publicly.
The game was amazing!!! They only had a deathmatch multiplayer beta, that was still a work in progress. You could play as Alien, Predator, or Marine. The Marine only had a pistol and a shotgun and was very very very weak compared to the other two. The Alien could climb walls, eat people's heads off and stab people with its tail. But the best class in my opioion was the Predator. He could jump to high points (the only way I can describe this is in a Zelda Twilight Princess w/ Midna way), use night vision, stab with two claws, throw a buzz saw thing, shoot a proton shoulder cannon, throw proximity mines and become invisible. You would think the Predator is overpowered way too much, but the alien ends up getting a lot of the kills. For those of you that don't know this is a FPS w/ all three characters: Alien, Predator and Marine.
Long story short: I played an early multiplayer demo of the new AVP game.
