Because really it's been 4 years and this is it's own game AKA it's not called Banjo Threeie so it should be criticised as the vehicle game it is as opposed to criticising it as a platformer.

The vehicle components. A great deal of those things were essentially worthless because either they were near useless(spikes on your vehicle, Egg turrets) or were gadgets that were near worthless(the Orange juice one, cloaking device) beyond novelty.

Weapons. Laser, Torpedo and Clockwork Kazooie completley obsoleted everything else. I guess it was marginally ok because they came late in the game but these things were both stronger than everything else and the Torpedo and Clockwork Kazooies homed in on enemies so they were also ridiculously more accurate than the weaker weapons.

Exploration. not really encouraged or supported except in Showdown town. The only thing you're looking for in the worlds are the same set of characters and Jinjos across a map to initiate the challenges.

The only flaw the game had, was that it used banjo kazooie's sprites/locations. Take away the banjo skin and just make it a generic game with a new IP and it's a perfectly good game.
