Tim Stamper back in Game Industry...
As a mobile developer. Better than nothing, I guess?

He'll be bombarded with Rare questions for the rest of his life.
Any word on his brother?

Not sure, but someone names Joe Stamper is also part of the company. They guess it's his son

Man... they kind of basically have to restart their lives after leaving Rare. Albeit they do have fan followings to help them build their lives back up.
I aint got shit like that so I struggle elventy billion times more than they have to to build their lives back up from the ground. To be fair, mine has only ever been ground so I guess I can't complain. What's wrong with being unpopular and unsuccessful? At least I'll never have a generally shitty fanbase (with the exception of us of course) constantly hounding me for old IP's and haunting me by bringing up my failed past. Also doesn't this mean this is the first time Tim Stamper has done literally anything in public since he left Rare? I heard he and his brother basically went off-grid afterwards.

Seems like basically 75% of all the Ex-Rare people just make android and tablet games now, while the other 25% make Xbox Live Arcade games and do contract work composing music for Kickstarter-funded 3D platformers and mediocre big-budget fantasy RPGs.

After not being in the industry for so long, Android and iOS seem like the best ways to jump back in for a veteran of the industry. It's good he's working again, and maybe he'll develop something that's a must play!

Missed April by a few months.
Oh, it's legit? Colour me massively hyped. Hope to see more than mobile games eventually. And dare I hope for the second coming of the golden days? Probably depends on what Chris is doing... Makes me wonder what they've been up to all these years, seems weird that one of them would just randomly decide to get back into games after seemingly giving them up for good. Either he missed the good old days or his presumed son talked him into it. In any case, maybe the Stamper Bros. returning is what we need for all the scattered Rare employees of old who haven't started their own studio to join back together. Who am I kidding, we'll never see new 3D collectathon goodness outside of the few kickstarter projects that don't particularly look very good.
