Super Metroid is a game I need to play still. Favorite Metroid is Zero Mission. Favorite Metroidvania in general is prolly SotN. Or maybe Cave Story.

I couldn't find a Federation Force thread.
So um. Anyone get it? I did. But apparently they sent only 2 copies to my local gamestop. I had to get the display case. I wonder if that's indicative of Nintendo's expectations for the game or if it was just that gamestop.

Oh I remember seeing that game. They actually released it? Nintendo didn't even send an email about it like all their usual releases. I think after the initial reaction they just shipped out whatever they had without any more bad publicity.

Yeah, but now that it's out it's actually getting pretty decent reviews- even Kotaku, which typically seems somewhat biased against Nintendo at times thought it pretty good.
I picked it up (along with Style Savvy: Fashion Forward, which came out the same day) but haven't had the chance to play it. I always thought it was going to be at least decent, rather than the trainwreck some of the, ah, more vocal fanbase made it out to be, but it sounds like it's better than I was expecting.

It is a decent little game. I'm enjoying my time with it, that much is true. I despise the art style and find the bastardized models for the pirates and Samus insulting, but the gameplay and environments are at least fun.

federation force definitely seems like a just kinda decent game that was unfortunate enough to be saddled with the name of an existing ip that's almost nothing like it
