They definitely won't have less than X and Y, which had 72, an all-time low. They know that the fans were pretty urked about that, and besides the main "theme" for Alola is "life", like how Kalos was "beauty". If the theme's "life", then they can't have that few new pokémon.
Plus I sense some Galapagos Islands influence with mons like Oricorio. There can't be that few, but I'm not remotely hoping for 150 either. 90 - 110 is golden as far as I'm concerned.

Huh, I didn't get that from the article at all. Just that they're interested in developing games for the NX.
