Yooka-Laylee - Multiplayer Trailer

The Rextro-64 arcade is a nod to Tooie's multiplayer, it seems. Only 8 minigames this time but it still looks like a fun little addition.

Apparently no confirmation on a Switch port as of yet, which has people a bit riled up.

Thoughts?

Shit... this actually looks really good. I didn't think they'd go the full Banjo-Tooie multiplayer route, but I'm glad they did. Really hoping for cross system online multiplayer here.

Also sounds based on this like there's a co-op experience:

"As well as the local multiplayer arcade games, Yooka-Laylee offers a second player the opportunity to co-star in the main Yooka-Laylee adventure. Taking control of the Bee Team, a second player can grab quills, collect and store butterflies, stop traps and more!"

So, basically the co-star Luma in Mario Galaxy, then?

It's nice, though it'd be even better if it had way more games than 8, so it could be Mario Party style fun. Still, it's better than nothing.

Am actually not that enthralled by the multiplayer games. They don't look as fun to me. Reserving final judgement until I actually play them of course.

I was expecting retro-style minigames, not minigames with the same engine of the main game.

This looks like really good mini games that you can just connect a few controllers to and chill (more like scream in disgust when you lose).
