Just finished No More Heroes 2 after not having touched it in the longest time. Great game. Thanks, Nills. Gonna try to finish Killer 7 before school starts as well.

he hasn't really directed a game since nmh1, most of the stuff he's been involved with since then has been less good than nmh2 because he mostly does conceptual work and lots of people fail to live up to directing those ideas

The story modes in Bomberman have been passable at best in my experience. It didn't stop me from playing the shit out of the N64 titles and Generations, though. Hero is aided by what might be one of my favorite soundtracks of all time.

Hero, like Kirby 64, was a game that I went back to years later when I learned just beating what you thought was the final boss wasn't actually the end. You need to get gold on every level and there might be things you need to collect?

Yo, I spent hours today on a sidequest in Yakuza 2. Lemme tell you about it.
You talk to this dude outside this host club. He used to work there, but ran off because the owner would pay customers to stiff the bills, allowing him to force debt onto his employees. However, you can't just beat him up, he only comes out to announce the number 1 of the club, meaning you gotta go in and work your way up for a chance to cave his face in. So you apply to work, starting out as this total nobody, acting as support for the owner's son, who's the current number 1 of the club. You get to know the manager a bit, and eventually you learn that the debt of hosts that run off has been given to him. Anyway, you woo some customers and even take the lady that was seeing the no. 1 host. You become so popular that the owner's son starts getting pissy. He beats up the manager and you call him a *****, so you take this down through a host-off where you woo this lady who owns a bunch of businesses. After wooing her, she tells you she'll buy you one of whatever you want; one car, one house, you name it. You tell her you'll have to think about it, because right now you gotta beat up the son. After ruining his face, the owner comes out, banishes his son, and tells you to meet him at a bar so he can treat you. Of course, he's actually trying to kill you, so you meet up and beat the shit out of him. The quest ends with you deciding to ask the rich lady to buy the host club, and then you ask the manager to become the owner of the club. The guy who initially gave you the quest then vows to become no 1. and promises to buy you the best damn dinner money can buy. tl;dr: there are sidequests in Yakuza 2 that feel like they would be an entire chapter in some other game, and that is rad.

Beat Life is Strange last night. Second game to ever make me cry. I figured a lot of stuff out before it happened, and some moments well before they happened, but they still worked so damn well.

I played Furi thanks to it being part of Playstation's free game lineup for July. It was pretty fun, and a few of the fights were tough.
After that, I played The Wolf Among Us because it was something that slipped by me back when it came out. I found it pretty enjoyable, and I'd love to see more from it. I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles X on and off for the past few weeks, but haven't been able to get back into it fully thanks to a bug that froze the game and caused me to lose a lot of progress since I'm dumb and rarely save the game when out doing side missions.

I'm now running a Cabaret club in Yakuza 2 and I dunno why they want me to upgrade the second I get all the furniture I need, keep the hostesses happy, and create a stable cash flow. I can't progress in the quest until I upgrade, but upgrading means the club is gonna suck again until I can afford all the new furniture I need, and the hostesses are gonna be bumped out so I need to keep buying them shit to keep their stoked gauge at a decent level.
