I'm just quoting the first sentences to save on space, so let's get on with it.

As for why a powerful console can be a bad thing (that auxiliary is pretty important so don't forget it next time); see below. I'll leave these. Also, if the game you can sit down while playing is that driving game, a lot can be said for a game that ****ing controls itself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57NbsAwFhZI 3. Most of their IPs are stand alone games. You got games like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword (I know TP isn't an exclusive) for example which, while they have their places in the timeline, are games you can literally just pick up and play with no other knowledge of the previous games. Microsoft however, their games are completely linear sequels. Try playing Halo 4 without playing the other earlier ones for an example. Oh dear, someone didn't do their research. Also, you do enjoy Skyrim. Everyone who owns a WiiU will probably be able to as well. And finally the last point: What good will a controller do you in the long run when for the past 3 years Microsoft have explicitly been focusing on Motion gaming. You enjoy your big epic Kinect 2 fantasy games and let me know how that goes, right? 1. No. Power and hardware is impressive but if all your games are a load of shit then it means absolutely **** all in the long run. See: Phillips CDI and the Sega CD for further reading. 4. The only difference is that while many of their IPs are indeed sequels, they can still be played on their own and stand alone as their own games. A Microsoft sequel is a direct carry over from the previous game. 5. Nintendo has decent third party support. > Makes no sense. Herp-a-Derp!

Those "kinect glasses" don't seem to be 3D to me. They talk about "augmented reality" on the article, don't they mean that you see the game screen through the glasses or something, as if you were in the game itself? More or less like this awesome fake?
This would be pretty awesome, actually. Imagine it being used for FPSs.

the 300$ price point instantly screams fake to me. Microsoft wouldn't lose that much on a console that has to have better hardware than a Wii U.

It's an upgrade to the device. It's just like the Motion Plus for the Wii only obviously more expensive. It's a pack in with the console though so I don't see anything wrong with it besides it being a bit too soon.
