He was worse in the television series. I will admit he's my least favorite of all of the Donkey Kong crew. My most favorite being Funky Kong.

Although he was created by Rare, he's owned by Nintendo because he's a Kong.

Anything that resembles the past DKC, DKL and DK64 is fine with me. I just hope they don't make anymore of those stupid bongo games.

And by the way, why does nobody care for Jungle Climber? It's a great game and it has a lot of elements from DKC even though the gameplay is different. Hey, at least it's not a spin off like Donkey Konga (I like Donkey Konga, but we're talking about classic DK here after all)

i just recently got Jungle Beat, and it's fun but i was using the the camecube control and it was horribly slow, yes we need a new DK game but like all of you said without Rare i'm not sure they could pull it of

Yes, I'm sure Hailfire Peaks is the first section of any game, ever, to use fire and ice theming. Granted I haven't played that far into Galaxy so if there's more to it then that just ignore me.

Regarding the topic though I'd go for something like DK64 but with some of the gameplay mechanics worked over. I loved exploring DK64 when I got it but upon revisiting it the term 'collectathon' comes to mind.

That's entirely true. Hailfire Peaks was one of the first levels in a video game to use the "opposites attract" (as I refer to it as) theme.

Man, gone are the days of video games featuring 10 levels, bosses for each level, and a villain. As time is moving forward, storylines are progressing and becoming complex. Don't get me wrong, I'm very proud of this.

Back on topic, I'm remaining hopeful about a new Donkey Kong game in the near future. Hopefully not a Donkey Konga or a Jungle Beat.

Sooner or later we'll witness the Return of the Kong.

Let's just hope PAON is in charge of it. And what happened to DKWii?

Perhaps after Nuts & Bolts is released, Rareware will decide to create another Donkey Kong game for the Wii.

One side effect though, is that Rareware may team with Microsoft and change the gameplay style of the franchise. Not only that, but the game will probably be for the Xbox 360. Unless Nintendo creates it. Which will probably lead to another Jungle Beat, or a game requiring the use of the bongo drums.

I REALLY wish that Rare would make an all-new DK game for the DS. Diddy Kong Racing DS was good, but it's a port/slight remake. I want something new, but from RAREWARE!

A DK game could never be released on the 360 without Nintendo's permission. Considering DK is such a big mascot, I seriously doubt that would happen.

If only, Ski. if only.

But on the Wii. I'm sick of the goshdarned DS eatin' up all the good games.

That's one thing I despise about the DS, Mandolin. I'm not a fan of handheld games to begin with, and handhelds seem to be the only game systems that are acquiring the newest games. Take Star Fox: Command for instance.

No. DK64 2. We've already had 3 countries. That's enough. DK64 has yet to get a proper sequel. It deserves one more.
