What I think happened to Chunky Kong
You know how we all haven't seen Chunky Kong since Donkey Kong 64, right. I think I know why. Rare came up with him instead of Nintendo, so he is owned by Rare, and we all know that now they're part of Microsoft and Nintendo doesn't own them anymore.
Lanky Kong and Tiny Kong are still appearing in games because Nintendo came up with them. You know, maybe Chunky Kong can have his own game on the 360.

Rare came up with all the Kongs save Donkey Kong... and then Nintendo were the ones that had Rare make Tiny more mature... Nintendo owns all the Kongs, since they're part of the Donkey Kong series, which is owned by Nintendo...

I think the bigger question is what happened to Kiddy Kong.

The pineapple launcher appeared in Barrel Blast, but not Chunky. He did appear in the GBA port of DKC3 though.

Swanky Kong is censored because the middle four letters are another term for pleasuring one's self.
Believe me, I'm a DK expert, and outside of cameos, Swanky and Kiddy haven't appeared since DKC3 and Chunky hasn't appeared since DK64. Cameos: *Swanky on a billboard in Mario Baseball 1 *A non-moving literal sprite of Chunky in DKC3 minigame *Brawl stickers and trophies (?)

They're just supporting characters so there is not much reason to bring them back.
