One is the logical cause of the other. They didn't HAVE to churn out MM in a year, so even if it's a bet, it's still lazy.

I think saying the reason people like it is because it is "dark and edgy" is backhanded. I like it because of its unsettling atmosphere and genuinely depressing undertones. If that constitutes "dark and edgy", then fine I guess, but in that regard it's done things no other Zelda game has even come close to. It might even sacrifice some elements of gameplay, even fun, to make the player feel a certain way (the timer). I'm okay with that.

The timer is my biggest gripe with Majora's Mask. I hate it

I have genuinely enjoyed ever single Loz game I have ever played, with the only two I have never finished (I have played all of them) being Wind Waker, and Majora's Mask, due to inability to hold on to the console long enough to play from start to finish. :/

I enjoyed TP the most, but all of them are fantastic games, and I'm pretty sure it's one of the best franchises of all time, and it definitely holds my number one spot.

I agree with Yiff, I just watched the video and just hearing about all the discoveries and executions of the exploits used and not used was really interesting. I probably wouldn't have paid too much notice if it were just the speedrun by itself but learning what went into it and that people did get really into it made my day.

EDIT: Oh, and also relevant to the thread, I started LOZ: A Link Between Worlds on hero mode. (As my brother's already completed it.)

Looks like the Skyrim Zelda that everyone was fantasizing about when Skyrim was released. Seriously can't wait to see what other stuff they've put in it. Hopefully it's not just a land-based windwaker where there's nothing of interest in between the varying destinations. Maybe there will be random caves scattered through the land or other mini villages you can visit
