Yeah I definitely liked Brawl's style over this one, but maybe the HD will make up for it

Brawl looked ugly. Like really ugly. Sonic and Pikachu make me barf.

This game looks a hell of a lot better. Really, even Melee looks better than Brawl in comparison of the tech at the time.

I've had a revelation. It's pretty much completely undeniable at this point, Ridley is in fact, a boss character in SSB4.

But that hasn't stopped anyone before.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lord Frederick over K. Rool. Also, Pit and Marth look fine in Smash 4. To me every character in Brawl looked pretty dull. Smash 4 looks brighter and more colorful overall. Link for example has never looked better in a Smash Bros. game.

Also, why is undeniable that Ridley is a boss character? If anything, the fact that only his shadow was shown leaves the possibility of his inclusion as a playable character wide open. We all know Sakurai loves to do these sort of tricks. He did one outright in the Direct presentation with Zero Suit Samus. Also, there is a theory out there that those "trophy quiz" bits in the presentation were there for a reason - to signify from which series several more newcomers will be from. So we have Kid Icarus, Metroid, and Fire Emblem.

But yeah we'll only know for sure once the game is out. Ridley is my top pick at the moment.

I believe you missed the point. Bowser was a boss in Melee, guess who also made his playable debut in Melee? I'm saying Other M Ridley will be a boss and regular Ridley will be a fighter. His final smash could be transforming into Roidley or something.

I hope Ridley is playable and his Final Smash is just becoming 'too big' so that he fills up the entire screen [and then some] and makes the game an unplayable mess until it ends.

Nope not to me. The extra detail they put in Brawl to try and bypass the Wii's limitations impressed me and I'm slightly disappointed they didn't do the same for this game, but it won't stop me from enjoying it

If we don't get K. Rool, Nintendo/Retro are to blame. Think about it... what is the current status of K. Rool's inclusion in the next smash game? He was teetering on the edge of "not going to happen" prior to the direct, receiving a minor boost in possibility due to the inclusion of Kremlings in the 3Ds version.

What would his status be if he was in both of the Donkey Kong Country Returns games? Guaranteed newcomer. He probably would have been revealed at E3, because he would have been too obvious of an addition to hold onto until later. He was already one of the most requested characters for Brawl despite not having a relevant game in years. Give him two major releases on the Wii / Wii-U, and I don't see any scenario in which he doesn't make the cut.

We have enough female reps this time around that I'm satisfied that we don't really need anymore even, if we don't get Palutena.

To be honest though, while Star Fox is cool an' all, the only reason we have them in SSB at this point is just kinda tradition. We haven't had a Star Fox game in years. Falco and Wolf make more sense to me but they might as well switch it up. Krystal would be cool.

I disagree. I liked Brawl's art style better. Melee seemed too realistic to me. I also really disliked both M and B's Yoshi.
