Tons of Beta Stuff in N64 Games

i spent some crapload of time on this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3e6CVb19qw

and in super mario 64 when i was hacking the programmers debug (full) stuff i found the mem names for all the levels (most of them) then i tabbed them so now i could go through all the missing maps.

and the funny thing is i only find the japan names, oh well..

but in that time i did figure out that the file screen was around 003, and the beta one was around 032.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C02_AwmX2bg

hope this helps

Sorry for the bump, but these are no hacks, he's just messing around with Vl Tone's Mario 64 Texture Editor and the Master Quest Debug ROM.
Anyone can get them off the internet and do stuff like this, I'm sorry but you're not the ultimate h@xor.

None of VL-Tones apps (besides the text and rom extender) exisit as of that video (look at YouTube date). But all the "hacks" in Mario 64 look like simple screw ups from GS codes making the data funky (I've done things like the "Sergent Bob-omb" before. I made a long stick-like figure come out of the waterfall. ZOMGITMUSTBEBETA). All the BT stuff was found out well before hand by others.

Everything I simply find to be glitches when messing around with code.

Hmm that's true, but I remember someone else posting a texture editor for SM64 on Acmlm's board, I'll see if I can find a link... I'm pretty sure the E3 castle grounds and the level select are texture hacks.
Anyhow, the "Beta Mario" is actually just a color modifier code:

Code:
8107EC40 0000
8107EC42 0000
8107EC38 FF00
8107EC3A 0000
8107EC20 BBAA
8107EC22 0000
8107EC28 0000
8107EC2A 0000
8107EC70 0000
8107EC72 0000
8107EC68 BBAA
8107EC6A 0000
8107EC50 FFAA
8107EC52 0000
8107EC58 0000
8107EC5A 0000
8107EC80 FFAA
8107EC82 0000
8107EC88 0000
8107EC8A 0000
8107ECA0 0000
8107ECA2 0000
8107EC98 5000
8107EC9A 0000
The Debug display code:
Code:
A032D598 0001
The level select with "Mem names":
Code:
A032D58C 0001

He probably used Vl Tone's hacking notes to make that bob-omb sergeant and I'm too lazy to look for the cpu usage bars code for Mario64 or the actor modifier for the weird object in Majora's Mask, but I know they've been out on the net since 2005 or something.
And all the stuff from OoT is definitely from the MQ Debug ROM, Google it, there's plenty of videos from it on youtube.
