I also know where to find all the animal buddies! For instance, (listen up, repo!) did you know you can get Rambi in Oil Drum Alley? That Enguarde appears in every single aquatic level? That Expresso Appears in more levels than any other animal buddy, even if it doesn't seem like it? If you're having trouble finding them all every time, I'm your man. Don't hesitate to ask. ![]()

Elevator Antics? I hate that level. I've wasted at least 100 lives on it before (BARRAL cheat ftw
)Not as bad as DKC2's bramble levels though >_< |

OK...I beat the game. DKC was seriously the FIRST game I've ever owned. And now....I beat it. King K. Roll was tough, but one BARRAL cheat later, and he was all mine
.And I didn't find Loopy Lights and Tanked-Up Trouble hard at all. I beat them both losing only a life each. |

You'll thank yourself.Anyway, is Elevator Antics really that hard? I can't recall this particular leap of doom. Ah well, at any rate, congrats on beating something which has plagued you for so long! You have reason to be happy!...But wait until you get to Tanked-up Trouble. Muahahaha. That's the hardest level in the game, I think. (And what's the one with the awful spiked tires? I think that's the one with Squawks... that one always bothered me, though I can't remember why.) (Edit: Okay, I was just a bit too late with this post. Congrats on beating those levels, and the game!) Speaking of Antics, if you get around to playing DKC2 (which you should!) wait until you get to Animal Antics in the lost world. Try flying through brambles as Squawks, with the wind blowing you alternate directions... urgh. But if you want to talk about hard levels... Rocket Barrel Rush (I think that's what it's called... the last level in the lost world) in DKC3 is the hardest level in the whole trilogy. Wow. You're in this pathetic little rocket, and you have to worry about maintaining a high enough speed so that you can reach the next fuel barrel and refill your gas before you run out, all the while avoiding the narrow cliffsides (you'll die instantly if you hit them)... and it's been a while, but I'm pretty darn sure you steer by pressing the opposite direction that you want to go in. x_x ...Hey, you have to admit, the DKC series offer some serious challenges; that's one of the many reasons they are great games. |

I don't see what everyone thought was so hard about Tanked-up Trouble. Theonly annoying part was the fuel. And once you get used to it, it was easy.
All of Chimpy Caves was like a reward, because it was so easy. A reward for beating the hardest world in the game...KremCroc. The leap of doom was in the end, where, you are in an elevator going down. Then, about a 10 foot gap, then an elevator going up. If you jumped too early, you would hit a rock and never make it, late, and you would miss the elevator. Then, you had to do that same jump again, but with a bee in the middle. That was the leap of doom. |

It's not that Tanked-up Trouble is insanely hard, but it is the hardest level in the game, or so I personally think. I figured that if you had trouble with Elevator Antics, TT would give you heck. But apparently it was just that one jump that's been stopping you all these years. Maybe that jump was a mental barrier more than anything? You didn't think you could do it; but you proved to yourself that you could, and now that you've gotten past it, you can do anything! Now you're ready to take on the next two games. DKC is really just a warm-up for the challenges you'll encounter in DKC2 and 3... Oh, and can you tell me what the spiked tire cave level is? I tried to go look it up on my game, but I don't have any save files that far. Weird; I try to keep a completed save file on all of my games... I guess someone erased it somewhere along the line... Actually, come to think of it, isn't there one with the tires in the water, as well? That one was a pain too. Was that Poison Pond? Sheesh, I don't know my DKC nearly as well as I know my DKC2... |

To tell you the truth I still find DKC hard sometimes...

The second lava in DKC2 I didn't know until 6 years ago that you had to hold onto a barrel for the red gators to send you higher.
