Hurricane Dean may be heading my way
Well some of you might know, Hurricane Dean is a category 4 Tornado and already has done some damage in the Caribbean, from what I can see in it's projected path where I live we could be hit or not, it's too far to say for certain but better to be safe than sorry.
Projected Path Hopefully if it doesn't change it's path it'll at least weather down by alot, if not we'll probably have to evacuate, some parts of Mexico are already doing that but it's too far away to really tell... but one thing's for sure we might be hit by flash floods... though I'm not going to worry just yet until I can see what happens till at least Sunday.. then I'll get a good Idea of what to expect... BTW I live in South Texas, I won't say where though.

Wow. That would be really scary. I'm glad I don't live near the hurricane zone. BTW, do you live in Mexico or texas?

Oh, man, that truely does suck. And in the worst way. I hope you don't have to evacuate, man. I would hate to have to leave my home for reasons like that. Good luck, man.

You may have a problem. :/
Although meteorologists can't be certain about where it's going (hurricanes are very unpredictable), if Dean keeps going straight he's going to make landfall around the Texas-Mexico border. He was a cat 4 last time I checked, but he isn't far from being a cat 5... and once he enters the Gulf of Mexico he'll only get stronger. :/ Texas doesn't need more rain, especially after Erin... Just keep a close eye on Dean, and never underestimate what a major hurricane can do. Be ready for anything.

Oh crap!
My cousins live in Fort Worth, Texas. Do you think they'll have to evacuate?

Keep alive, my good man.
Also, don't be scared. I went through 5 hurricanes a few years back, and all they did to me was knock out my power for three days. Be smart, stay indoors, and drink as much as possible. |

Sorry man, that really could stink. Although we don't get many hurricanes in Michigan, obviously, I take a lot of vacations in Florida to see family. A couple years back, I got to experience Hurricane Dennis firsthand. Thankfully, it was only a Category 1, but it was scary. In a way, also pretty cool though.

That sucks. I've only experienced one major hurricane, I can't imagine what it's like in the southern states/caribbean every year.

It's not that worrying every Hurricane season, right now I'm not worried about Dean in the slightest, but if by Sunday or Monday it's still going the same path, then I'll start to worry.
Usually when you get a strong one you usually won't get another strong Hurricane until the next year, but who knows. Thanks Andre, roccker.grrl, and Tanjo.

I feel for you, man. I know how frightening hurricanes can be... Ugh, I remember when Wilma hit us. It was awful. All it did was knock the power out for a few days, but I'm just afraid of storms of any kind, so. Not to mention, back when I used to live in Miami when I was... only a few months old, Hurricane Andrew hit us, and you know how bad THAT was, right? Cat. 5, really bad winds. And we turned out just fine. No damage or anything for us and we lived in a kinda weak apartment.
I hope for the best, and yeah, as Kaz said, don't underestimate the strength of a hurricane like that. You need to be prepared for even the unexpected. I really don't mean to scare you by saying that, but you know. But I'm pretty sure you'll be fine if you're properly prepared. =)
