Only Two months...and $510 away...

OMG, I have no idea what I am going to do... Our family doesn't exactly have money. I was looking, and it turns out, my second favorite band, Iron Maiden, is going on a world tour. I need a way to get there! All of my favorite bands are dying off and withering apart! I need to go to one before they all die!

Only problem is, It's going to be a lot because I live in Ohio, the closest concert is in New Jersey. (In the U.S.)

As I see it, I only have a few options... I would get a job, but I don't have a reliable source of transportation, and I live in the Boonies, so that doesn't work...

I'm obviously running out of ideas... Otherwise, I wouldn't come crying about it here.

Why don't you sell some stuff online? Put up some ads or something. It's a good way to get some fast, easy cash. Sell some old games you don't play anymore. There's always someone out there who wants whatever you've got.

Where did you figure the $510 cost would come from? When is the concert? If you have time, even a little bit of time, I would suggest trying to find a job that is within walking distance, on the public bus route or somewhere a friend of yours already works (Maybe you could carpool). Maybe ask around the neighborhood to see if you could shovel people's walkways/driveways for some quick cash? When you do go, look for the cheapest way to get there.. try checking Greyhound bus prices for the day of the concert. Would you go by yourself? Would your parents let you go alone? If a friend went, would they help with costs? Lots of things to consider, but I do hope you figure out how to get there.

It seems that it will be me, my brother, and hopefully my dad. The tickets are $70 each, then all the bus totals come to $220 cheapest. So I guess the cheapest I could go is $430, but I over estimated just in case.

Er... or... What Ecks said. Offer to do jobs for the people in your neighborhood, anything you can do for them like shoveling their driveways and the like. Maybe even more than that if you can, and when you do so, of course, charge extra. You can get pretty quick cash that way... D:

My mom works 2nd shift, and I live 5 miles from any town, I get home from school at 4 P.M. It would take me at least 2 hours to get to any town. Which it would be dark by then... Maybe it just wasn't to be...
