AAAHH!! Death to silver coin challenges!

Okay, I'm playing Diddy Kong Racing. I can win the race. I can get those silver coins. BUT I CAN'T DO 'EM BOTH AT THE SAME TIME! Except in the first world. Just the second and third world that are impossible for me. And probably the fourth once I unlock it. Those stupid coins! They're not hidden very well, but if you drive past one, you're pretty screwed. Cause then in the next lap you drive past it again, cause it's in some weird position. Then in the third lap I go past it again, so I turn around for it! But then all those other generic animal racers pass me and they win!

So, is there a special technique for getting the coins, or do I just suck?

LOL man, I can do it well, All you have to do is pile on the blue balloons. Or at least that's how I do it. Plane challenges can be the easiest, or hardest, so try to find all the zippers in a race, ECT.......................... I don't think you're bad at it, you just need to find a special thing to do, like my zipper technique.

I go for all the silver coins on my first and -if i have too- second lap and then i concentrate on getting in first.

Yay! I got them in Walrus Cove and Snowball Valley! Now I just need Frosty Village before I can race the Walrus again. But Frosty Village is hard. I always miss the zippers. But the CPUs never miss 'em... Lucky bastards. I wish a computer controlled my mind!

As long as you get them on 1-2 lap you would have enough time to win.Also when coming to a new level and you don't where they are,you can always stop racing and have a good look around.
Also remember to let go of the A button before going on those zippers.

Make sure you practice sliding when you're in a car. Sliding makes it alot easier to get some of the coins without losing too much speed etc, on turns and such.

Also don't be afraid to try changing characters, sometimes trying a different character can help.

Which characters have the best turning? I think that's what I need for this level.

May I suggest using the JOINTVENTURE cheat, and just letting player 2 sit there?

Then you only have to beat 4 other racers.

That, in combination with the 1 or 2 laps to get coins, then race to win, should work.

There's also this glitch that if you tap A repeatedly you'll end up going faster than when you hold it down.

Anyway, try sliding in the car and hopping in the hovercraft. Practice up! Otherwise you may die from what lies ahead.

I got all the coins in world 3! So many years of failure! But on this day, I've finally done it! And I find it strange that it's taken me 5 years to notice where the entrance to Dragon Forest is.
