Full Banjo levels remade? Nada. My theory inside...

After yesterday's announcement of Mad Monster Mansion being back in yesterday's Scribes, I've been thinking about how it would happen considering what Gregg said about levels being back but 'not how we think'. However, it's the wording in yesterday's announcement that has spawned my following theory....

First, the announcement: "Also making a welcome return is the snowman from Freezeezy Peak, the Mad Monster Mansion and of course videogames' premier toilet – Loggo."

Notice the wording for Mad Monster Mansion. Instead of Gregg saying Mad Monster Mansion will be back, he says THE Mad Monster Mansion will be back. That has led me to believe that only the mansion itself will be in Banjo 360. How will it be back? In one of two ways:

A)Grunty has used her magic to teleport the mansion into a new spooky themed level

or B)The Mad Monster Mansion will be an entire level on its own. Think Grabbed by the Ghoulies or Luigi's Mansion. An entire level that has us exploring the entirety of the mansion itself. The MMM was relatively small in Banjo-Kazooie due to the lack of power in teh N64 and Rare focusing on more than just the mansion, but with the power of the 360 hardware I could certainly see the MMM as a level that could stand on its own.

Imaging traversing the mansion with traps around every corner, tee-hees floating around with their outstretched ghoulish arms trying snatch the duo, Motzand in his own little room still playing the organ, and dozens of different doors that could house many surprises.

I think the MMM would be one of the most interesting levels in the game if pulled off correctly. Hope my theory is correct.

Thoughts?

Maybe they will have a flashback level in which you go back to short segments of past worlds. That is after all "not how you'd expect."

maybe the stop and swap barrel in the celler will open into a big new bit in the mansion

that way its a joke on SnS, and making the mansion into a bigger level

I'm wondering if all of the BK levels are back, in some bonus game fashion.

Possibly. But I like more the "Level Back with gazillion polygons, new textiures and a few more changes" Idea

Uhhh...did you even read my first post? That's basically what it is. The Mad Monster Mansion itself recreated and made an entire level of its own.

Of course I've readed it, but the quote I put maded me think about your theory is a brand new level, because I don't remember traps on every corner, or dozens of different doors on MMM .

Edit: Nevermind me then. My confusion

Brand new level is EXACTLY what i was inferring. A brand new level that has us traversing an all-new, expanded version of the MMM. I thought that I had made that quite clear, but apparantly not.

EDIT: I did. But apparantly you found a need to skip that part. "B)The Mad Monster Mansion will be an entire level on its own. Think Grabbed by the Ghoulies or Luigi's Mansion. An entire level that has us exploring the entirety of the mansion itself."

Well, they already did it once, in BK:GR, where the mansion appeared in the swamp level, so I don't see why they can't do it again.

I imagine the snowman's going to be more traversable in a Click Clock Wood-type fashion. He'll have stairs, secret entrances to rooms in him, more things you can jump on on his body... yeah, just more interactive.

Yo, Hylian. What about the hint "What have Banjo and Kazooie been doing for all these years?" or something along those lines? I'm sure the same could be said for the world, Mad Monster Mansion. Probably the whole place has changed, which means different challenges, more places to go, and etc.

I don't think because he put "the" in front of it means that it's just the mansion that will be showing up this time... Though, I wouldn't mind it. It would be truly awesome if they had a fully furnished mansion that was both spooky and fun to play in. I imagine it would be a lot bigger this time as well.

Oh, and "nada" means "nothing." If you're speaking Spanish, the translation for "no" is simply "no."

I like the idea that you put out in B). It always irked me that you could only go into rooms in the mansion that were connected to the outer walls by window. I want to see the inside of the mansion now!

And I really hated all the outside parts of MMM. The church and the mansion (and cellar) were fun, but the outside bugged me.

I think it does. Why would he single out the snowman from Freezeezy Peak then? Why not just say Freezeezy Peak and Mad Monster Mansion, rather than the snowman and the mansion?

Maybe that means other key features of past levels will be returning, too. Like the Rusty Bucket, but not the entirety of RBB. Didn't Rare say Clanker was returning? There you go. You'll see Clanker, but not his cavern.

So that leaves Jinxy from Gobi's Valley, the big tree from CCW and... hey... maybe Sharkfood Island?

Hey, what if Banjo and Kazooie's moved into the Mad Monster Mansion? It'd solove the problem with their house being destroyed in Tooie, and it'd explain why theres a picture of Grunty hanging on the wall in the Xmas wallpaper. Of course, the fact that they said Spiral Mountian will be the starter world again kinda bursts my theory here. :<

So then, what are the major parts of every level?

Termite Hill (Mumbo's Mountain)
I dunno........Sandcastle? (TTC)
Clanker (CC)
I dunno.....(BGS)
The Snowman (FP)
Jinxy (GV)
The Mansion (MMM)
The Rusty Bucket (RBB)
The Tree (CCW)

That would be awesome. I'm really curious now. I also think it's safe to assume Gobi will be making a return.
