Mario Kart Wii Discussion

Okay, so, sort of overshadowed by Brawl. I personally am looking forward to this the most at the moment. I love the look of the new tracks and characters, and the online play looks pretty good. Mostly I look forward to using Miis. What are your thoughts on this game?

I'll probably get it and enjoy it but having Miis in it is such a dumb idea.

I won't like it if they use Miis. Just play, win trophies and unlock characters, like the other ones...

i don't know why, but i'm not really that bothered about this one, usually i'm really excited about them, but i'm just not this time around. Maybe because i'm convinced it's only getting released earlier as a "sorry your not getting brawl" present

That was an extremely poor representation executed in a truly awful way.
In fact, I should just add 'Graphics are irrelevant' to my clipboard so I don't have to keep typing it out.

Anyway, I wasn't too hyped about this either, but then I looked at some screens and some videos, and I must say that the multiplayer aspects AND the single player aspects look great.

You mean how the graphics are different and the entire control scheme is different? You made big changes to the gameplay sound insignificant in your little segment up there.

Also, I'll get it when it comes out, but I'm not all hyped for it or anything. Maybe a few weeks after it comes out? You Brits have fun with it though. We'll keep Brawl warm for you when you guys get it!

Meh, it's possible. Don't quote me on it but there was a rumour when they revealed some of the characters in MKWii that it would include both original creations and forgotten characters as well (like Toadette [original] in DoubleDash!! and Birdo [forgotten] in Mario Tennis), so who knows, the forgotten character may be Wart.

Kamek or something is probably a safer bet though, since Wario shafted him in the 64 version, plus the reappearance of the Magikoopas in Galaxy.

I'd have to agree with that. Considering I'm also trapped in the PAL region (Australia), waiting around for Brawl without even a defined release date is just irritating. The fact that they're using Mario Kart as a "consolation to hold us over until Brawl" is just terrible, especially since Australia is only getting it a few days before America anyway, so it kind of defeats the purpose of giving it to the PAL region first since they got Brawl earlier.

I don't get it. They created characters such as Toadette and babies galore for the game and you're hoping for Wart? or Kamek? or some other respectable character? Get real!

Just to make it clear what side I'm on, whenever I get this, I'm sure I'll have fun playing it. That's not the point. The point is the lack of originality on Nintendo's part. It's also the stinginess to evolve from game to game. That was the point of that post.

I'm glad someone had a laugh, though. Even though it's really not funny, situationally speaking. It's a shame I had to even say it.
