Okay, so you post a topic and expect everyone else to make the content. I want to see a bit more from you, than "I think he would have been a great man." If you make a thread, it's about your views, and then others can add their contribution to the discussion;.

Well as far as being a leader went he did great things to fix the German economy, and even helped design the Volkswagen Beetle, and was generally a good family man.
Although he did go a bit wrong when he decided Jews were fat money hoarding people who should be culled and that everyone should be Arian.

So if he wasn't a Nazi he surely would have lead Germany into a prosporous time that wouldn't have resulted in a Second World War and everyone would be happier for it.

Although if that had happened we surely would have ended up like that alternate universe in Doctor Who where there were Zepplins in the sky everywhere.

Hitler was a man, just like any other. Like any other man, his actions were governed by his personality. If he had not ended up as a Nazi and then converted other people to Nazis, then he wouldn't have been Hitler.

He was going to get to the top of the food chain any way he could. If you've seen MAX, you know what I mean. He wanted to be an artist, but no one thought he was any good because it was during the Expressionistic era and he only did realistic stuff (which looked great, by the way... It was just the wrong time for him). After his rejection, he did more of the Nazi thing and... that was the end of it for Hitler.

Later on, Hitler would open up the Entartete Kunst (Degenerate Art), an exhibit of Expressionistic art. The gallery was small and cramped. They shoved the paintings in there and it was disgusting how they were laid out.

Just an example of how vengeful Hitler really was.

I like his art. But there's no way the world would be the same as today if he wasn't a nazi. World War II was good for the world in many ways; it got women into the workforce, it showed the effects of the atomic bomb, and my favorite thing to come from WW2: Godwin's Law. If I had the option to go back in time and kill Hitler, I'd pass it up because the timeline would be far too different.

Hitler was quite an intelligent man and, despite losing the war, did an incredible job of leading the Nazis. But whether it was he or the demon that possessed him that that made him this outstanding leader, I know not.

To answer your question, I don't know what kind of a man Hitler would have been had he not been possessed/a Nazi. Perhaps he could have kept trying to push his artwork to the country? Sometimes all it takes is a lot of hope and passion for what you do to fuel your desires to become what you seek to become. Had he not given up, perhaps he would have been the Picasso or Michealangelo of his era.

Also, I've never saw any of his artwork before. Can anyone provide a link to some of it?
