The jinjo's new role?
is their role being on display in banjoland? If so- i won't be that disappointed, but still...

Don't worry!
As I pointed out in this post, I found a jinjo running around Showdown Town, so they definitely must have a better role than being on a display case. ![]() Also, I don't remember if it was on the interview or the article, but someone said the jinjos would still need to be rescued. It makes me wonder, are they lost or just playing around? In BK/BT they stayed in a set place, now they run around.

Didn't Gregg Mayles say that they still whistle and wave or something? And I remember reading on IGN or something that you still have to collect them.

That's weird to see them just walking around like that. He seems a bit small though, don't you think?

Jinjos are real in ST but need rescueing in the worlds.
Maybe they are like they were intended to be in BK? Running around, hiding, collectables

Maybe you rescue them in the levels, and the more you rescue the more you see running around? Makes sense.

"...yes they whistle and wave."
I loved reading that! I think it would be hilarious if you had to chase the Jinjos around...the one in that picture (incredible eye, by the way) looks really sneaky. Reminds me of the Bunnies in Super Mario 64. Good times; good times.

it is funny how the jinjos were intended to be hard to obtain, yet they just stood there in the final product
![]() maby they did make them like they originally intended now, after all it kind of doesn't make sense as to why they would constantly stand in one place the blue jinjo in TTC stood in one place and he was even in shark infested waters!

From the IGN article:
"You'll want to explore the various corners of Showdown Town, too. It's the key to beating the game. There are several things to do here that should motivate your explorations. The most basic collectable is music notes. These have been turned into a form of currency that can be used to buy things like parts and full blueprints of pre-designed vehicles from Humba Wumba. Jinjos can also be found here, waiting to be rescued."

I don't think you rescue them this time. Didn't it say somewhere they have a completely new role? I am sure that they will hold some importance.

Yeah, they do have a new role, but maybe you have to first rescue them so they can do what they're supposed to do.
