Tornado Stupidity (and pictures)

News of a tornado on TV reminded me of my first tornado.

Now whenever there is a tornado, you are supposed to go underground (or in my case, the most central room in your house, or a room with no windows). So last September, it was late afternoon, and there was a bad storm outside, which isn't unusual for Florida that time of the day. Well, what was unusual was a strange howling sound, like someone blowing over a coke bottle.

My sister and Dad (and stupid dog) look outside to see a tornado directly over our house (here's a picture of it).

Yes, they went and took pictures of a freakin' tornado forming right above our heads.
And here I am practicing all the stuff I learned from Tornado Drills at school, running around the house screaming for everyone to get in the laundry room.

Best part, they didn't even move. Not out of shock or horror however, they were just standing outside the door: "lol tornado..."

It didn't cause any damage to our house because the tail of the tornado was up the street. However, it did knock out power until 3 in the morning, ripped the roofs off of several houses, and chucked cars everywhere.

My Dad then concluded that we should go in the laundry room next time a tornado decides to make an entrance.

My Dad is silly. And I get him for it everytime there is a bad storm and he wanders outside...

The van wert ohio tornado in 2002 was ****ING terrifying. i remember playing out in the rain (i was 9) and i came in, and our mom told us to stay. Im just thinking, but i wanna!!
She said there was a tornado warning, so went and looked at the sky. There were clouds splitting apart, rotating, and im just thinking, woa. We went in for a while, then our mom came in freaking out, and she shoved us into the bath tub, and threw a matress over us. We were in there for along time, feeling the ground rumble beneath us. We were fine, but within sight i could see a factory destroyed, and our movie theatre...
What a beast.

There's a raging thunderstorm outside, it's half eleven at night and I can hear some people having a garden party. Seriously, the dull thud of their music is worse than the sky-bangs.

Seriously though, you should look at the pics i posted, that thing was a scary beast.
If that animal went through more than just the outskirts of town, it would of probably killed a thousand people.
It was huge, and packed winds of more than 240 mph.
