Mario Sluggers?

I know mario sluggers for the wii came out in america yesterday. I live in europe but I was just wondering how good a wii game is it? I havnt seen any reviews of it yet.

It's a cheep rip off, why would you want a base ball game if you got one for free in wii sports.

Because this one has a buttload of characters, stages, you fricking name it. And online play, don't forget online play.

I have played the mario basseball games (Well only one) and they are actually pretty fun, If i had my Wii again i'll buy it

i haven't played it yet, but my brother got it yesterday

the story mode area, looks really cool, but it also looks like you don't play much as far as real games go. the whole thing looks mainly like it is used for tutorial purposes. the only games i saw him play were against bowser jr. and bowser, the rest was tutorials. the story looks pretty fun like i said, but i don't know exactly why it is here because the main attraction of this game is supposed to be the gameplay. instead, it is used as more of a plot device. i don't know if this makes any sense to you, but you will see what i meen if you watch/play it.
the gameplay looks like it has been really sharpened since the last mario baseball game as well, but i can't confirm just how much, since th most i have done is helped my brother on a few missions

to me, it doesn't look that bad, but it doesn't look extremely impressive either. i will have to wait till i play it to pass my final judgement though.

k.rool and the kritters were my biggest motivation of watching this, but their whole role in the story seems completely out of character for them. hell they ARE ON the DK wilds team! they are supposed to be total enemies, not teammates!

Edit: i can't check online play since we don't have a connection that can easily support that kind of thing, but the character selection is impressive. characters like yoshi now have alternate colors and i think you can pick multiples of the same type of characters to be on your team (example: 6 yoshi's i think can be on one team). not only that, but each different color of those characters have there own specialties as far as stats go, so a green yoshi and a red toshi will be a bit different and so on and so forth.

Yeah but online play sucks ballz on the wii. On Brawl it doesn't EVER stop lagging >.<

Yeah, the only reason I might get it is for K. Rool. I just saw gameplay of the brown-costumed Kritter. He's got yellow shorts and looks very similar to Banjo from the back(minus the backpack).

Ign said its fun. But its just a combination of the gamecube version and wii sports baseball. But I never played on the gc version so I should appriciate it more than others.

Mario Super Sluggers does not have online play unfortunately.
