BK:N&B: Things that excite you!

Instead of being a bunch of mopey chumps, tell us what excites you about Nuts & Bolts!

*The "Banjo-Feel". The game's gameplay might not be too much like the old games, but basic feel of the game looks very much the same. The music, the level design and themes, the dialouge, everything just looks so.... Banjoy.

*The vehicle creator. At first I really didn't like the idea of vehicles in a Banjo-Kazooie game, but now I'm really excited to make my own! The vehicle creator seems so diverse and open for so many options, it's hard not to like.

*The fact that this is actually a new Banjo game. I never thought I'd be playing Banjo-Kazooie, let alone a new one, on a next generation console. Regaurdless of the fact that it isn't a traditional platformer, it seems to have everything the previous two had that made them so great.

*The deal. Not only is the game $40, but you also get a free copy of the original game to play on the Xbox. Nice.

Yeah, tell us why you're excited and stuff.

I can't wait for Banjo Land

I find myself constantly watching the Banjo Land videos to listen to the music =P

Also, I am really excited about the replay ability of the game. I think it's going to be a really fun thing to think up the "best" way to complete a challenge!

Enjoy living in denial and being disappointed when N&B isn't the greatest game of all time.

Well, no one said it was going to be. But then, you're right that people need to realize this. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to NB more than I've ever looked forward to any game in my life (not because I think it'll be the best game I've ever played, but because I grew up with the Banjo games and they're extremely special to me); I've been waiting for it for years, and so far I think it looks fantastic. However, of course it's going to have its flaws. It's important to be realistic, and also not to obsess over it. I'm trying not to actually think about the game itself too much. If we hype it to the point that we expect it to make our brains will explode from sheer awesomeness overload, we're going to be disappointed; and if we think about it too much, when it actually comes out all that anticipation will dissolve into a letdown.

So basically, I'm just saying... look forward to the game, but try not to obsess or hype it so much; that's a dangerous trap, I've learned from my own experience. Try not to get a mental image of what you think it will/should be. Everyone wants something different out of the game, and no one can have everything; unrealistically high expectations will lead to disappointment no matter what. It seems a lot of people on the forums are actually being realistic, which is good.

Just enjoy it when it comes out, take it for what it is, and realize it won't be perfect. Take the game on its own merits, not what you expected it to be. I think those who go into it expecting a game with some flaws, perhaps even some major ones, will enjoy it more than people who expect it to be utterly mindblowing and then have to realize it's still just a game, no matter how good.

Ah yes, forgot aboot him for a minute

I have just been admiring the JFG soundtrack though, so it all evens out

And I've already been bitten by the hype machine (damned Mario Galaxy), so my expectations aren't too high, I'm just looking forward to enjoying all of it

- Well really, yeah, just the fact that it IS a new Banjo game and I'll be able to control my favorite bear and bird in a whole new adventure once again!

- The music, it of course has been one of my favorite parts of the past games, can't wait to hear what they have in store this time.

- The worlds, even though there's less this time, they seem huge, clever, colorful and are just flat out awesome.

- The characters, humor, and just the overall Banjo feel it seems to have.

- Showdown Town, if what they say is true, this place seems like it will offer a ton of exploration and extra secret stuff.

- The graphics/art, I love the style they chose to go with.

- Creating vehicles, goodness knows how many ideas I have in mind...

- Banjo Land, I feel nostalgia coming ...

- Bosses, one of my favorite parts of Banjo-Tooie, hopefully this game will offer plenty of memorable ones.

- Stop 'N' Swop...

*sigh* So many things...
1.) The fact that their reviving the trilogy (it will hopefully turn out to be more than 3) after 8 long years.
2.) Um, BANJO!
3.) I like the new mechanical look and feel.
4.) Vehicle customization FTW. Especially when you can get missle, rocket boosters, grenade egg launcher and the like. ;P
5.) Story. It's not that great of a plot, but hey, it's something.
6.) The concept. I, personally, think Rare was being really creative with this. Who would have thought to put creatable vehicles and Banjo together? Certainly not I.
7.) The Music. C'mon, when has Kirkhope ever let us down? All the music is witty and whimsical while still keeping a good beat and pertaining to the level.
8.) Grunty. She rhymes again! =D
9.) Pictures. They make for great desktop pictures if cropped correctly. ;P
10.) Multiplayer. The thought of utterly destroying enemies with custom vehicles is just awsome. Kind of reminds me of a less violent and war oriented Chromehounds...

And the list goes on and on and on, but I'm too lazy to list them all. XD

The vehicle editor will be undoubtedly amazing. The cars can be whatever. Anything is possible. I can't wait to let my imagination out.

Same here. I have so many cooky ideas I've been longing to let out and no game so far has let me do it (Chromehounds, etc.), but with this (taking the Havok physics system into account) I should be able to bring those ideas to lif, presuming they're balanced and all. And, just a thought but, will there be visable weights for parts? Just to make balancing the vehicle out a little bit easier...
