Brisingr

At the beginning of last year, one of my good friends lent me a book that I couldn't put down. It was so breath taking and amazing, that as soon as I had finished reading it, I went to buy it so I could read it over and over. This remarkable book is called Eragon, and after reading that many times, I got the second one, called Eldest. But this year, a third book in the slowly progressing series came out. As soon as I heard of this, I did lots of chores to get myself some money to buy it. I then bought it and pretty much locked myself in my room until I had finished it.

It. Was. AWESOME.

Have any of you read the third book? Or any other books in the series? What did you think?

Discuss with me.

EDIT: Grammar fail

Lemme lend you a book. It's called The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. If you were impressed by Eragon, it is quite likely that reading this book, which is actually good (very good, in fact) will give you an orgasm. I'm not even kidding. It happens to me, and I've read it several times. The Inheritance Cycle books are probably not as bad as people make them out to be, (still a blast to make fun of, though) but really, it's actually rather poorly put together and the characterization sucks. Sorry to just barge in here and diss a story you like, but even though the first book is mildly entertaining, the second bored me to death, and I have zero interest in the third.

I've only read the first book, but 10 bucks says Galbatorix was Eragon's dad.

I've seen the movie of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and it was really good, but everyone I know that has read the book has told me the movie is crap, and the book is awesome. Maybe I'll go borrow it from the library or something

What makes you think that?

Oh, you must. If you liked the movie, you'll love the book. You gotta promise you'll read it!

It's like 1000 times better than Eragon and 100 times better than the movie.

But he's actually wrong. Eragon is the son of Morzan and the brother of Murtagh.

Spoiler'd in case you haven't finished Eldest... which I think you did but meh.

Yeah, I had finished it. I wasn't really too surprised because what you said is right, Christopher Paolini did copy things from everything else. But it is an awesome series.

You speak of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy very highly!

*Runs to the library*

Haha, books? I didn't get past the first ten pages of Eragon. I hated it.

Well, I quite agree with what you said. The first bit of the first book is teh LAME, but once you get into it, it's awesome and I'm actually being serious.

But doesn't every book start off lame?

No. That story I wrote in Fifth grade had aliens in the first chapter, as well as Ocopus/Lion hybrids, Ocotopus/Grandfather Clock Hybrids, Octopus/Peanut Butter Jar hybrids, and a zombificated Octopus/Lion hybrid in later chapters.

Oh for real?

That's pretty cool, do you still have it? It sounds intruiging.

I really do not like books like that, they all seem the same to me. : /
I do not have a certain style, however, a good book is just a good book.

I just got done reading The Hot Zone, and it was disgusting. It is hard to imagine having a virus like that, or seeing people around you dying from it.

It is a good thing that the Ebola virus, and Marburg virus outbreaks are generally short, and not widespread. However, the reason being is because the people that the people that become become infected, usually die too quick to let is spread fast enough to become an epidemic. Death rates are from 50%-89%

It's in a box somewhere. Keep in mind I was a 5th Grader, and half of the pages were pictures.

...

Holy ****, I should rewrite it.
