Most people consider being blind to be the worst of the senses to lose. What after blindness would be the hardest to live with, for you?

I think losing my hearing would be the next worse thing to being blind.

I can get by without being able to talk easily (well, theoretically anyway). I don't have a sense of taste or smell as it is (unless I'm having a good day) and it's not bad at all. Touch is hard too hard to imagine losing to be able to compare I think

Going def would be the worst, in my humble opinion.I love listening to gentle rolling thunder, and waking up on a spring morning, and hearing the birds carrying on... My greatest love also happens to be music.

I believe that hearing is also the most important sense for interaction, as well. I am not saying that last sentence as a fact, but I would rather have the ability to talk and listen correctly, then use sign language, or text.

Hearing would be my worst thing to part with. Blindness would be...unfortunate, but I could live without it.

Not being able to touch, on the other hand, would be the second worse, for me. As for no taste or smell...most smells are usually bad, these days, so don't really care about that. Taste, I could also live without. Most food I hate, anyways.

Although it's very uncommon, having no sense of touch (a.k.a. pain) whatsoever is actually dangerous. There was this woman on the news not to long ago who suffered from this condition. She was always severely hurting her self... Bumping into tables, scratching her eyeball, burning her self in the shower, all because she couldn't feel anything.

If you were about to die from pain, you wouldn't know, because you can't feel it. If you've been punched in the back, you would only know because you'll receive a little shove, along with it. If you were shot, the only way you would know is from all the blood, as well as the sound. However, if multiple people were around, you might not know from the sound.

Going deaf might even be worse than blindness. When I can't hear, I'm confused and don't know what's going on or where I'm going.

I think second worst is deafness. I do think it would be pretty badass to be mute, though. You'd be one of those silent guys that's always portrayed as really, unforgivably cool. I'd wear a trenchcoat all the time and communicate by giving people different variances of pissed off looks...

My dad is blind in one eye, he says it's not all that bad besides the fact he can't drive very well.

Honestly I'd hate to lose any of my senses.

I mean seriously, if you can't smell how will you know whether or not you smell rancid?

Taste and smell should be one in the same. You can't have one without the other. If you lost your sense of smell, you'd also loose your sense of taste.

No hearing. But blindness is indeed the worst for me.
