...that would have made BK3 even more awesome:
Give Players - High-grip tires in LOGBOX 720 - A spring in Banjoland - Floaters in Jiggoseum - Wings in the Terrarium of Terror With this setup, Rare could have incorporated a lot more vehicle platforming akin to Showdown Town's. Instead of allowing us to simply fly to the top of LOGBOX 720, we would have to actually climb it manually and spring over pitfalls. Enemies could try to knock us off like in Click Clock Wood/Clanker's Cavern, and platforms could be spaced out in intricate patterns that we would have to navigate with care. Instead of flying to the island in the outskirts of Nutty Acres, we would have had to build a vehicle capable of boating to them. Throw Snacker and mines into the mix, and we'd be given a challenge we'd have to both outfight and outrace. Ultimately, a player could choose to wait until they reached ToT and still decide to fly to all of these locations. The freedom that Rare intended would still be present, but the potential platforming everyone has been complaining about would have been included. Plus, having to wait for new parts or "moves" in future levels to complete tasks in older levels would be a great throwback to the original games. I'd also be interested in seeing how a challenge like the basketball one from Jiggoseum could be completed prior to using a flying machine. Agree or disagree? (PS: In case I was unclear, I love Bk:N&B, but simply think that this take on the title would have been better.) |

I agree. I loved exploring the levels because I mainly stuck to the Trolley. It's possible to get to most places in there using it (actually, it's possible to get most places in the Terrarium of Terror on foot. Yea...I was bored)

I really don't care either way... because I'm sure no matter what, this game will still manage to get under my skin and piss me off enough that I can throw a controller clear through a wall.
Some of these ****ing challenges... I love the game too, but God damn it. You know what I think would make the game better? Taking this Trophy Thomas **** out. |

I kind of disagree, I like the freedom that the game offers as opposed to limitations set by most games (such as the original Banjo games actually). Regardless, if this had happened, the anti-Nuts and Bolts people still wouldn't be happy, so it's not like it matters anyway.

I just thought that there was too much freedom. There was never motivation to get anywhere EXCEPT by flying in the overworlds. Plus, with the change you would still be able to just fly to everything eventually. Obviously a lot of people like the system in place now like you do, though, or Rare wouldn't have made the game like this

Sounds like you wanted more platforming elements.

Grunty chalanges should fo been 50 times harder, they are make/break points in the game..
Give wings in one grunty chalange in nutty acres, propellers in another one, springs from logbox sticky tires in Banjoland you get it.. laser in ToT, because it is scifi...

I'm not sure what exactly I would like to change in the game. Some of the challenges piss me off and drive me nuts. Over all the game is awesome, yes I like it. But I can see Grey's idea's working as well. I would have to think about it more before supporting changes in the game. I haven't finished the game yet, I'm up to TOT.
