Recording on your computer screen

What are good programs used for recording on your computer screen? I need this so I can record while I play on an Emulator. I've already seen Hypercam2 but this puts their logo in the top left corner of your screen. Also I only want to record sound from the game, not myself, or any background noise not from my computer. I lastly don't want to spend any money.

By the way, this is in the Nintendo Board because I only plan on recording Nintendo Games.

Some emulators come with recorders.

I hear camstudio is epically laggy.

I have hypercam and it works fine, but you have to pay for it unless you have a benefactor.

Fraps is good too, but theres a tiny watermark at the top of the vids, but I find it better when you record games/emulators. I use camstudio for more normal stuff, like video tutorials.

My friend used to use it for his epic o2jam videos. Those would lag. He switched to hypercam.

Depending on your video card, certain video capture utilities will work better than others. It's just a matter of finding one that fits your system's construction.
