Help! I'm Melting!
Okay, not really. But my computer is. Sort of.
My computer's been having severe over-heating problems, and I have no idea what's causing it. To answer some of the questions that I'm sure you'll ask; Yes, the fan works. It started overheating over the summer, but only did it once or twice. It's been doing it more and more as time goes on. The computer currently does not have a casing.shell on it, in an attempt to keep it cooler. Something odd I noticed... As I writing this, I know I have no risk of an overheat. If I feel inside the computer right now, though, there is a certain part (don't ask me what it is; I have no idea) that feels extremely hot, and even burns to touch it. I can be using my browser, listening to music, and be on MSN all at the same time, and my compy's fine for about 5 hours. On the flip side, I could have just turned it on, and started playing any full-screen game. Within 10-20 minutes of starting the game, with no other programs running in the background, it overheats and turns itself off. Anyone have any idea what's causing this? How can I fix this?

Thats what happens to my mom's laptop!
And the peoples can fix it. I suggest saving all your important stuff one a disk or two or a memory card, and maybe getting a new pc. Maybe a casing shell might help, as do you mean you can see inside the computer or not? |

Well if you weren't a witch, this sort of problem could easily be avoided.
