You actually would have to choose to participate with and care about Leaderboards though.

if what kotaku says is true, i don't think this is any problem at all. its not like it affects the actual game, if anything, it allows them to make the game harder without having to worry about casual gamers. whats the problem with that?
sometimes i think people want to criticize nintendo just for the sake of criticizing nintendo. |

At first I wasn't too sure about this, but it's a good idea that you're able to go to any point in the game you want to replay a favorite part. And it would probably make me replay the game more, so I can skip over the parts I hate.

Tell me why.
I think,if kontaku is right, this concept is awsome. There were always amazing points in the zelda series we wished to play it again, but sometimes we had to restart the game and spending hours to come up to that point.I like it. Also, the hint system is still optional. So why worry about it?It's more fun to discover it for yourself, but for the casual gamers,it's a great solution. |

No one. Its just there for replay value , so you can reaply stuff later on without having to start over again.

It sounds kind of odd to me. It would take away the satisfication of the series if you got stuck on a puzzle and was frusturated by it, but instead of trying to think it out you have the game show you how to do it. Of course this is just a patent, so this feature might never come to be anyways. I have to say though, that if this is really Miyamoto's idea for revolutionizing the Zelda series, I think he has lost his touch.

actually i just had a bit of an idea. it seems to me they could almost be making a myst-esque game out of the zelda universe, which i think would be sort of awesome. i dunno, but this bigger focus on puzzles and hints seems to allude to that, or perhaps something like that. |

Gawd, there's only 2 things on my mind right now.
Positive: I could give it a try, It could be good. Negative: Screw the casual gamers Nintendo, make a freakin game for your longtime hardcore fans!

Um.
Can't those same people just ignore the hint? It seems as though it's optional. |
