What's a good game engine to use to make a 3D game?
This is something i really need to know. Since i'm in-experienced with these things, can you guys give me some suggestions? It'd be much appreciated
Thanks in advanced! |

Ogre, Panda3D, Crystal Space (but nobody in our project is probably using Linux).

Source is free with the purchase of any source game for PC.
The Orange Box or Left 4 Dead will suffice. Maybe not for a platformer, but it's there. |

Wold that mean everyone in the project would have had to buy it? I've got it.

Blender has it's own built in engine, as well as capabilities with running alongside Crystal space, and the Crystal Space Model Exporter. You can pretty much use them both. But, Crystal Space I couldn't figure out how to get working when I was using Ubuntu just now. =(
