Question Fan game player thingy

What do you need to play fan games that people have created?

This is an extremely vague question. The most common fan game systems originate from either Games Factory or RPGmaker (95, 2k, etc.). These are the built from scratch ones (well, not exactly built from scratch, as most of the Games Factory games already have the base game engine made for them).

Other games, such as the Lunar Magic based SMBW games that seem to be the big craze these days, will most likely be edited ROM images (though for legality reasons will only be patches for the SMBW ROM). These can be run on ZSNES, SNES9x, or any other SNES emulator out there on the web.

Then there are flash games, which, as the name implies, are Flash games. You'll need the latest Flash plug-ins to run these (or possibly Shockwave).

Others include my long abandoned StH2 hack (I wasn't advanced enough in hex and ASM to get far enough to warrant a continuation of the project. Plus I wanted to work with Flash at the time, so I just dropped it) and other various games that require other emulators to work.

Hopefully this helps a bit.

Ok, I should have said what game I wanted to play and if I had said that I probably shouldn't have posted this thread and should have PM'd. I want to play the Super Mario World Remakes that people are making (a.k.a vaticandrummer, SimpleFun, and Blue Breegul). And I also should have asked where to get the program.
