What Happened to the Bosses?

I was just going through some old threads from around the time N&B was announced, and I noticed this post by Gregg Mayles:

I don't think the was talking about Mr. Patch here. Plus, I remember reading in a preview article that each level would have a boss "unrelated to Grunty" in it.

What happened? Why did they take out the bosses?

We've got Mr. Patch in Nutty Acres, then again in Banjoland, Terrarium of Terror has that Germ... I'm lost for the Jiggosseum and LOGBOX 720...

But, yeah, I'm pretty sure the bosses got pushed into the "Cut for Deadlines" room.

I'd rather not Tanjo, if the times includes repetitive racing games in replacement for amazing platforming

Edit: Not that I'm a N&B hater of course

I'm sure that the 'germ' in the Terrarium of Terror, and Mr. Patch existing in both Nutty Acres and Banjoland was meant to be. As unfortunate as it sounds, the bosses were meant to come across immobile and stationery. There is a high chance that whoever was meant to be fought in LOGBOX 720 and the Jiggoseum was either never planned out, or were escorted to the 'Cut for Deadlines' Room. I for one, was disappointed with the 'bosses'. If a next Banjo-Kazooie game is meant to be, I would expect for there to actually be boss fights. Mr. Patch was not, he was a target.

While he is being sarcastic, he's actually doing something way more awesome. Every time there is a debate about N&B, the argument gets to STOP BEING NOSTALGIC AND ACCEPT CHANGE, CHANGE IS GOOD AND THANKS TO CHANGE WE HAVE 3D GAMES. Except what these people don't get is that changing an industry and changing a game series are a little different.

Anyway he's just showing how stupid that argument is.

p.s. Change brought on the Wii

Change also brought in Mega Man 9 and Obama (Bah, a positive and a negative)
MM9 was a change from MMPU or MM8 to Classic style gameplay and Graphics.

Well, we can all enjoy making the bosses in useless vehicle form.

I miss bosses. But I also think that if there were new boss fights, even if they were good, every one would say things like "He/she doesn't fit Banjo universe", "Where did Rare take such a horrible boss idea from?", "I hated the fight against it, it was nothing like the first games, where the fights were soooo epic". If they re-used more bosses, then people would simply say "What the **** did they do to it!? He/she was such a good character, and now it's so lame..."

The funny thing is, the only thing that would really qualify as a "boss" in N&B is Mr. Patch, and not only did they re-use him from Tooie, But they re-used him twice!
