Banjo Kazooie and Tooie
How many people thing that Banjo kazooie is MUCH better than Tooie? In Banjo Kazooie there was a great range of worlds all different types and they were short fun and easy (except Rusty Bucket Bay) but in Banjo Tooie they are way to big, very hard after Gliter Glunch mine and I don't think there very fun. The game was spoiled because you couldn't find out how to get the secrets in Banjo Kazooie and what they do in Banjo Kazooie.

I couldn't agree more with you. In my opinion, Banjo-Tooie lacked one thing...pure imagination. Imagination is what made the first one stick out so much. Every small nook and cranny was a new surprise to be found. However, in Banjo Tooie, the worlds are so big that you begin to lose sight of the nooks and crannies and are completely overwhelmed. I know Rare wanted to expand on the first game's exploration, but I dare say they went too far, making the end result...unimaginative.

I thought that the much larger worlds and ramped up difficulty made Banjo-Tooie a much better game than Banjo-Kazooie. Banjo-Kazooie was way too simplistic for my tastes. I loved getting the complicated jiggies like the ones in Grunty Industries. I'll agree that the fairy tale presentation of Banjo-Kazooie was better, but I loved the worlds of Banjo-Tooie so much better. There were some worlds in Banjo-Kazooie that were on par with Banjo-Tooie, though, most notably Rusty Bucket Bay.

I have to say I did like Banjo Kazooie better. for one, it was original. in banjo tooie, rare was just improving on it, not coming up with something completely new, so of course i wouldn't be as awestruck as the first time I played banjo kazooie. second, banjo kazooie had secrets that weren't solved. that made us think there was more to the game, and so we kept on playing it. at the end of banjo tooie, you're left with a feeling that everything is done and everything that could've been a secret was dropped. as for the worlds, yes, they were big, but they weren't so big that I didn't like them less than BK. Banjo tooie was like saying, ok, you learned the basics in banjo kazooie, now here's our challenge.

for me B-K had the best boss battle. Maybe it's just me but beating up on Grunty at the end had a certain enjoyment than the fight in B-T

Yes, BT lacked imagination. Everything just seemed a bit too... generic. I also wasn't nearly as impressed by the soundtrack. And R Hunter is right, though the Grunty battle in BT is more challenging and whatnot, the first Grunty battle was much more entertaining.
I also think it was a big mistake to make Grunty stop rhyming. Clichéd as it was in the first, it was one of her defining traits. I especially enjoyed her lines whenever you re-entered the final battle, such as the one that goes something like, "Back again? The bear is thick! Once again, your butt I'll kick!" I hope she starts rhyming again for BK:GR... if she talks at all, that is. ![]()
