Religious Debate of May '09
Because all this pent up rage about Christians is starting to bleed out into unrelated threads, I ask you, where did your disdain for Christianity come from?

You can go through my old posts and see how much I've changed. I used to be a hardcore christian. The only reason I was though, is because I never really deeply thought about things, and I was terrified not to be. My mother and grandparents pounded it so hard into my head that I would go to hell if I didn't believe, and I was wrong to think certain things. This is not a good way to be raised.
Recently I have become Agnostic, taking the "I don't know." Approach. When we die, their could be a superior being, or we could just be dead. I believe no one really knows what happens after death, until death. I'm not labeling myself under any religion. Labeling yourself a certain religion stirs up constant pointless fighting. I'm really loving life now, and I'm not living in constant fear.

1) Eternal pain in Hell is NOT a suitable punishment for ANYTHING. God is not fair and just.
2) God is a stuck-up, arrogant snot to make people worship him on a daily basis, not say his name in vain, and believe in him. 3) The homophobia of Christianity. There's more where that came from.

A more important question is, who cares?
People really shouldn't concern themselves with something that isn't effecting them directly when it's such an irrelevant matter.

I really can't say I'll take either side. On one hand, it would be comforting to know you go to somewhere pleasing when I die. On the other, nothing might happen at all.
On a related note... what about ghosts?
