Lets say in some strange way that North Korea or some other nukerpower (nuclear armed superpower) launched a few nukes into orbit. Modern nukes, whatever they are at, 500 times the power of the WW2 ones?

Anyway, they are in orbit, and they blow up. Say, four, all around the world. They don't initially kill anyone, and lets say for this scenario that the radiation won't, either.

The only thing that we notice is the light, sound, and the EM field

How would the world react if a giant EM field hit the Earth and every single electronic device died for a few hours, days, or even weeks!

Of course, the governments will have counters for this, like NORAD's buildings are totally covered in metal so they are immune to EM waves, but everything else.

The stock market?
The internet community?
Hybrid cars?
Airplanes??

What would happen!?

Why would we die? Nothing from the nukes would kill us, we would simply be without technology. And unless you are a cyborg, you aren't going to die from that

Pacemakers. Medical equipment. Refrigeration. Yeah, it'd be a big problem.

I think they will just turn on the servers again, stocks will be taken down in notes then put on the computers once the power's back. I don't think it will be anything bad. Lmao.

I think it would be very bad...
Say, no electrical device will work for five days:
No transport nore communication: you can only talk to the people you can reach by foot or by bike.
No light: if it would be in the winter, you could only see clear for 8 hours a day.
Every piece of food that was cooled or frozen will have to be thrown away; you can only freeze things once.
That means that all the stocks will become bad and the shops won't be getting new food delivered.
I don't think the Internet has ever been turned off; it would probably take a long time to restart everything.
That means the same for every factory and machine in the world.

I think it would be VERY bad.
