A Look At the Music
Well, I would have liked 3 different polls asking everyone's favorite level for each game, but there was only enough for one, so I picked the one I would hope everyone has played. Oh, and I did mean level for it being a level, not the music alone, although I think that should be part of why you liked a level.
For me, music has always been a big part of my life. I'm not exactly proud to admit that fact either, considering in the 90's I was a big follower of the boy band phase, but hey, that's what happens when you're a kid in a commercial world. But I digress, music. Music has been something extremely important to me as a form of art, whether it's just music, in movies, or in video games, if it's not good, I have a problem with it. To me, a big reason why Banjo Kazooie was so memorable, any game for that matter, is its music. I mean, it's common knowledge that Mario, or Zelda have good music, but then this new company came on the scene with a new franchise, and the music was awesome. It strayed away from the quirky bouncy sound of the Mario games, and the serious strings, piano, and ocarina from the Zelda games, and it went in an odd direction, tons and tons of brass. To most people who know music, that would probably seem like a horrible direction to go, but would we ever be wrong. And of course, who could forget the banjo, let's face it, the theme is many things, but if it's only one thing, it's catchy. And even for all you Nuts and Bolts haters, I don't think you can deny it has classic Rare music, and it fits very well. I just thought that the music always fit extremely well, every level has a style and a theme, and the music always matched that perfectly. I just wish everyone else would take notice, and start paying more attention to how important music is in video games, sure, there are TONS of games with great soundtracks: Bioshock, Psychonauts, Assassin's Creed, the aforementioned Mario and Zelda franchises, but still I see games come out with terrible B-movie sounding music. I love music, I always have and always will, and while there are many things that make Banjo great, a big reason why I keep going back is to hear the music, which will get stuck in your head for days, and keep you coming back for more, every time. |

Rusty Bucket Bay hands down.
Freezezy Peak and Mad Monster Mansion get honorable mentions. Mumbo's Mountain and Clanker's Cavern for worst. |

RBB is my favorite on the list.
Mad Monster Mansion deserves to be mentioned. But the real favorite for me is Grunty's Lair. |

Gobi's valley is definitely a master piece
Clankers is great (off topic here but body Harvest 64 had a great soundtrack that barely any body knows about)

I HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THESE?
Well...good ol' Click Clock Wood. But I love it all, and I want to hump the jinjo theme from BT / N&B. |
