They Fight to Entertain
I'm not sure how many of you follow the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), but there's this upcoming match that is going to be so nuts I had to make this topic to see if I am the only one who cares about it. Randy Couture vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, it's suppose to be one of the top-notch matches of this year because of the amount of training both men are putting in for it. Randy is a wrestler but he's good on the ground as well, meaning he's able to lock in a submission, while Antonio is all about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and boxing. This is definently worth a purchase IMO, it might not to be better than Forrest Griffin's or Brock Lesnar's last fight but it will definitely be one of the better matches this year.
I don't know, guys. Fighting/Entertainment are pretty much my prime interests. Shit, I just finished watching a WWE PPV last night. D-Generation X returned and was victorious, just thought I'd throw it out there.  All these athletes really do amaze me by pushing their bodies to the limit. Whether they're jumping off a 8 foot ladders into tables or getting beaten to a bloody pulp by their rival in the octagon, these men (and in some cases, women) get full respect from me. ITT: Discuss your views on fighting programs such as UFC, wrestling, and boxing.

All it is is a bunch of half naked, oiled up muscular men doing scripted acrobatics and yelling at each other to make up for what they lost due to steroid use. Seriously. There isn't even a sex tape with any of them.
So yes, they fight to entertain.

UFC isnt scripted though Whyme, however WWE is very scripted. Go learn something about entertainment and an actual career thats just appens to be televised sometimes.

WWE may be scripted and those punches and kicks the wrestlers throw may be fake as hell, but all the slams and falling they endure are intensely real. Being a wrestler is basically like being an actor and an athlete combined

Well of course, of course, you cant really fake that. That's why most of these (if not all) wrestlers take a severe amount of painkillers and it's surprising not more of them overdose.
